At least the god awful textures under the water are gone, and i got to animate that ceda truck.
This did improve the map a bit, still a crummy map (not ur fault though).

Pretty much, yes. Not a lot changed, other than making it look less bad.
And the gauntlet at the end is replaced with a generic holdout style.

Sounds like a skill issue where you're unable to tell that the radio is still glowing.
All radios in vanilla maps need to be used twice too. So what's the issue on this one?

Wondering around for 30 gd minutes not knowing what to do at the end didnt know I was supposed to hit the radio twice! then got stuck inbetween BOXES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! question: is the horde them only supposed to play the danger? bc all im hearing is the danger and not the zombat(i only hear one of the horde sounds to simply my problem)

Yeah. unfortunately source engine lighting is buggy.
If a model is partially shaded it may look good, or really glitchy.

Thise trees in the fourth image, specifically the one to the immediate left of the broken bridge. It has vertex lighting turned on, so the whole thing should be nicely shaded. But the game just made it look like that. There's not much i can do to change that, sadly.

Ah I see, it's fine then. Though once again, the trees seemingly share the same issue. It's primarily noticeable on the trunks when exposed to sunlight.

A good example would be the forth image on this page, though it's noticeable in any with trees.

the funny part about foliage shadows is that is completely breaks lighting on all nearby props and even walls, somehow. Hence why they don't throw shadows.

I'm assuming something about the treesway shader used by plants causes vrad to crap itself. Haven't actually tested it yet though.

A lot of the trees and foliage don't seem to have shadows, and look almost fullbright.

I heard about that one before. I didn't fix it because i was assuming people wouldn't try their best to get stuck in the first place.
But i suppose i can add a player blocker entity to stop people from being there.

I don't know if you're interested in updating this campaign anymore, but I'm just letting you know I found a spot where players can get stuck with no way to escape.

In the finale holdout area, you can jump onto a shipping container from the two-story building and then jump toward the out-of-bounds fence. If you do, you'll fall down and be trapped on all sides by the shipping container, the fence, a portapotty and an electrical box. As far as I can tell the only way out is to restart the mission, which is what I did :ccskull:

There's still the forced tank spawns close to their default spawn points, but they can spawn naturally as well.

oh i do know how to fix them. Making all the small props fade away sooner, utilizing more harsh func_arewaportalwindow entities.

Problem is just that with that little fog on the map, having stuff just fade out looks bad and i specifically wanted it to look nice. So i made the conscious decision to make optimization take a back seat.

Map 1 seems really unstable, especially at the beginning. Of the three times I crashed during the campaign, all of them were on the first map, with two of them occurring right when you first encounter infected. Ended up unsubscribing from all my mods and changing graphics settings to recommended options (never touched them before previously). Campaign seemed fine performance-wise after that.

Additionally, bots did get stuck a few times. The house with the one-way drop trapped Rochelle and Coach on the stairs long enough for them to teleport to me, while there was a spot when you get back on the highway on the second map where Rochelle got stuck again - this time not even moving from what I could see before she teleported. Could be a few more spots, but those were the most egregious ones I encountered.

Otherwise, I liked the campaign better than regular Cold Stream. From just pure memory, it felt a lot better to play, and a lot more refined in terms of mapping.

Really bad campaign that suffers even more than vanilla Cold Stream from memory leaks and random crashing (mostly focused on map 1) when hosted on local server.

Not recommended for anybody until dev fixes them! I doubt its possible though, without rebuilding the map and its assets. :steammocking:

This is a version of the cold stream map with improved graphics! I really liked the environment and atmosphere, and it felt different from the basic cold stream map, so I really enjoyed it! 10/10 :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

They won't. For one cause the bunker door asset was a modified door from "Infra", the truck sounds were from Forza Horizon 5 and the fact that it crashes for some people.
