yeah i know that by now but it doesnt really matter to me because its metal. and probably another shiny material i dont think theres like canon hev materials

I know this is old hat at this point, but the reason the arms are shinier with this item is because you didn't keep the alpha channel from the original normal map.

the whole point of an hev hand pad is to be animated this is not animated please someone animate this

@dmn It could be that they seem shinier because I made the normalmap twice as large, meaning the light has a higher resolution to shine upon. The amount of light itself should be unchanged, but it's just higher detail, I suppose.

am not sure if it's the case, but does this make the glove parts more shiny than usual too? I only noticed it after getting the mod, and it looks a bit weird considering the texture of the material for those gloves looks like something that wouldn't be reflective whatsoever

@vVassago i do not know how to make animated textures, so i can't merge the animated handpads with dgmmd's mod

Add: the whole point is that these sleeves serve as an upgrade to the by now ancient base game's sleeves, and since they're merely an upgrade to the base, that means you can take 99% of the skins on the workshop, put them in your custom folder, and it'll simply work.
it's something that's been needed for a long time.

this is great, however i suggest you to change the vpk name to "!0A_Altered_Default_HEV_Hands_Retexture_Normal.vpk" so your mod would be prioritized over mine, therefor making your normalmaps appear on my retexture

I appreciate that they're such a higher resolution, but the point was the animated back-of-hand monitors by now largely inactive cryoshell, grafted to the impeccable up-ressed, and vastly improved vanilla hands/sleeves by DGMMD. Possibly replace the default static green read-out?
