it should work with all mods that use vanilla textures for the flames.
granted you load it afterwards to overwrite them.

If a mod uses textures of their own, then this mod will not alter those as it only replaces the original vanilla texture that is used on thrusters.
it would need to reference to my custom texture to use them in other mods.

yes the Outlands flame mod uses this flame effect its listed in the description of the outlands mod.

Just tried running this mod on my dedicated server, and this mod was causing a crash on start up. I'm not sure why a visual mod would cause this, but after over an hour of testing, I managed to narrow the crash problem down to this mod specifically. Is this an intended function due to mod coding? or is it not supposed to crash dedicated servers?

if you use the recolourable thruster mod Linked you can use that to make the idle flame invisable

I adore the mod- I like seeing the flames emit from inside the housing- not behind it. Issue I have now is idle flames- I usually use a mod that disabled idle flames so they are only lit when emitting thrust

I'll grab you a pizza if you can make a version that does that for me

yea if i wanted to force it on all other mods it would make more sense to use a script but the mod itself only effects vanilla thrusters if another modder wants to use the flames in this mod then they can the way listed above but not everyone wants their mod to need a dependency

@WastL I can force all modded thrusters that use the vanilla flame to use the new flame. However this could cause issues with some modded thrusters that rely on the base game shape for their looks.

You could ask the mod author of that mod to use our thruster flame if you want but its completely up to them.

@Jonathan Torres: the size of the flame is primarily determined in the block-model with the size of the empties and the size of those empties determines where the flame will cause damage to surrounding blocks.

So if the texture should fill the entire nozzle, it will
either require a re-do of all thrusters (including DLC-lock) where they damage all blocks in their surrounding
or have ugly blocky sides as the flame will be cut-off by texture-size just to fit into the nozzle (i tried that before and it looked weird with the cut-off sides since that stretches out as flame-cone grows)

I liked this mod. I think it would be better if the flames were the exact same size of the nozzle, so it would give the impression that the flames are leaving the nozzle with high pressure.
If you are going to try that, I recommend you not to update, but to upload it as a new mod.

I see that the Sci-Fi did not need to be replaced, the Sci-Fi Atom was fine with the original color, so it was unnecessary.

just to say it again: i drew the texture myself, there was just no need to alter the DLC-texture on the Sci-Fi Thruster as it looked already good, it's just a recolor for that one.
it was just lying around for months since i forgot to upload it while i was busy with work.

Since it was created based on SparksDLC, please ignore it if you do not need to replace the Sci-Fi thrusters (and Atmo).
I just noticed that as far as I could see in CubeBlocks_Thrusters.sbc, there was an edit section for Sci-Fi thrusters.

Sci-Fi Atom thruster large and small CubeBlock is missing and Sci-Fi thruster does not appear to have <FlameLengthMaterial> replaced by YunaThrusterFlame.
