it doesn't work anymore because the radar is outdated, it uses the old radar
i suggest updating it

you select the CIWS master controller under the radar and set it to ignore but its going to shoot itself and everything it sees excluding you

I've used these systems on quite a few vehicles. The easiest way to go about doing it is to paste it all into your build using selection grid. Then use the selection grid to copy and place the turrets you'd like to place and the radar (this way everything stays connected).

Now place 2 toggle buttons and one push button, or you can bind these to seat, or both (hotkeys from seat to the input on the buttons). One toggle to turn the system on, one toggle to turn the auto shoot on and the push button to switch targets. Now you just replace the connections from the same buttons on his control panel and delete the unused turrets and control panel. Now merge what you place with your vehicle. Works every single time! You can also select the processor in the radar and change it to detect surface targets.

NPC: You gotta merge your vehicle to the battery platform, doing it the other way around wont work. Doing this made the radar not go limp for me. (You can delete the battery platform afterwards)

Anyone ever get this working with the new radars? I want to use it in career mode but cannot have the old radars. It works amazing in creative mode when i test it but sadly I dont play creative. I have spent hours trying to figure out and make it work with the new radars but sadly my Trex brain fails me

So I've noticed a few people having issues with it working. The best way that I've found to do it, is load the item in using the grid select. Place the weapon you wish to use, for me it's the 20mm auto cannon. Then place the radar, the control panel and the battery just to make sure no connections are broken. Make sure that you merge the weapon, radar, control panel, and battery or they wont work properly. Remove the unused weapons, then tie in your electrical to your ship and load in. Once you're in go to the control panel and fire it up, it should work. I've currently got two 20mm auto cannons on a ship I've been editing and they work amazing.

ive followed the setup but when i load it in and try and get it to shoot something, the turrets and radar just dont do anything

I'm having the same issue as @Reesecraft28. The radar itself is superb. Hell, better than my own eyes. But the guns refuse to engage any targets, even when there's a pair of helicopters right on top of me. How do I fix this?

I think this system may be broken now, that or I'm missing something.

I'm able to get a GPS reading and coordinates, but even after connecting all the turrets with blocks just to make sure no connections are being deleted, the turrets refuse to budge even on the example model. I did make sure Weapon's DLC is on.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Hi I love this system but my only gripe is that you can't limit the range of motion of the turret. like it would only move between -60/+60 degrees :steamthumbsup:

the problem is that if I put the installation on the ship, the rocket always falls, and when it is not installed, it hits even though I connected everything correctly

Yeah the logic can be a bit oversensitive as delta blocks calculate PER TICK. I dont know how i could slow it down effectively.

i noticed the further away a target is the harder time the CIWS will have with tracking, often shaking violently

(could just be my jank setup though as i slapped 4 rotarys onto a flatbed trailer i made with the radar mounted on a not so tall pole)
