@Helluva Angel everything Schweitzer makes is gold haha, again this seems to have flown under everyone's radar because it wasn't made to be added into the game itself
Helluva Angel 27 Dec, 2024 @ 12:33am
Wait, what? Why have I not heard of this? Why is it so good? Help???

@♫ Tadpole ♫ I see! I suppose I could go and link it off here then!

Hi! I made an add-on for this mod that seems to manage to replace the title song with this mod 100% of the time. It still requires this mod for the song file, I simply needed to edit one file to make it always use this mod's music file.
Armok  [author] 24 Sep, 2022 @ 3:59pm
@Nezzy well, I'm afraid I've tried all the possible methods for replacing the title theme I know here, so I'm not sure if I'll be of any more help here.
Nezzy 24 Sep, 2022 @ 4:10am
@Armok still didn't work, it also replaced my lovebound title replacement (which doesnt effect music) the music is the moons combat music/missions music but for some reason its on the main menu, my modpack is in my profile called Nezzy's Starbound Modpack if you want a closer look at the mods or want to test it yourself, you've been a big help anyways and I understand if you're not interested

I have a LOT of mods, like 350 and I dont know which one replaces my main menu theme
Nezzy 23 Sep, 2022 @ 6:18pm
Actually, are you sure this mod you sent overrides the other music replacements for titles, its still playing a combat theme on my title, if possible to set priority of this song higher or something?
Nezzy 23 Sep, 2022 @ 6:12pm
You're a legend, thank you so much, such a beautiful theme.
Armok  [author] 23 Sep, 2022 @ 6:01pm
@Nezzy sorry about taking so long, but here's the version you've requested: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-5QspNyOrQFkxgFS1RV1mGqgTRWpqmwJ/view?usp=sharing

just unpack this into the mods file and you should be good, what's more, this version will actually be compatible with the original mod in case you want music player and shoggoth's & record support still
Nezzy 23 Sep, 2022 @ 7:54am
Could you make a version that DOES replace the main menu theme, I wanna listen to this every time I open up Starbound.
Eye8ball 11 Jun, 2022 @ 1:47pm
Holy shiiii this is beauutiful
Armok  [author] 9 Jun, 2022 @ 12:38pm
@Voj-tekk CZ I think I'd rather just stick with this as a tittle screen addition, but you're more than welcome to make an addon to this mod that adds the song to more instances
Voj-tekk CZ 9 Jun, 2022 @ 9:51am
Hey, I made some patches that should allow the song to be played during regular exploration, if you're interested. They cover planets from vanilla, FU, Arcana and Money Planet.
DDJays 31 May, 2022 @ 3:12pm
@Armok thank you
Armok  [author] 31 May, 2022 @ 9:26am
@DDJays I actually completely forgot that the FU music player was a thing, I'll go do that!
DDJays 31 May, 2022 @ 3:06am
can you add it to the FU music player
whenwrašk 20 May, 2022 @ 10:26pm
alright, fair enough. thank you for taking the time to reply though
Armok  [author] 20 May, 2022 @ 5:12pm
@whenwe.serbie.65 no clue, FU adds a bazillion new songs to the title screen that the odds of this playing become quite low though
whenwrašk 20 May, 2022 @ 3:30pm
so the description mentions this has a 50/50 chance of playing if you're *not* using FU... what's the chance if you *are* using FU? sorry if this is a dumb question.
Armok  [author] 21 Apr, 2022 @ 12:47pm
@Heliosphan I see, guess that's a callback enough heh
bo$$m£n 21 Apr, 2022 @ 12:35pm
It really is. Still has that slow build-up to it and also the guitar was a great idea.
Armok  [author] 21 Apr, 2022 @ 12:34pm
@Heliosphan hmm, if you're talking about the title theme concept music, I'd say it sounds much more upbeat than this song here lol
bo$$m£n 21 Apr, 2022 @ 12:22pm
A few seconds in and it already sounds familiar to the OG menu theme.

ffs I will weep it's beautiful
Armok  [author] 19 Apr, 2022 @ 5:07pm
@Keith_qt nooooooooo
Raccoon Racist 19 Apr, 2022 @ 4:26pm

Eevote 10 Apr, 2022 @ 12:16am
So uh what's the file name for this ogg?
Armok  [author] 1 Apr, 2022 @ 9:11pm
@M no problem!
Mase 31 Mar, 2022 @ 10:32am
thank you for making this, this is easily one of my favorite tracks from Schweitzer and I'm sad it never got implemented in the game
Armok  [author] 28 Mar, 2022 @ 11:46am
@Artus you aren't the only one, I know at least a few other people aware of this wonderful song, and yeah, felt like the best way to add it to the game really
RegenKonig 28 Mar, 2022 @ 10:08am
Thought I was the only one that knew about this masterpiece! You're doing the world a favor, adding it to the title.
Han-Gi 28 Mar, 2022 @ 1:26am
hahahaa:SBHorse:
Armok  [author] 28 Mar, 2022 @ 1:20am
@Han-Gi I think the term "rest easier at night" might be more what you're thinking here?
Han-Gi 27 Mar, 2022 @ 1:34am
Thank you very so so so much. Finally I can end my life comfortably. :SBpenguin:
Armok  [author] 27 Mar, 2022 @ 1:00am
@16BitPotato I mean, his music is one of those things the community can actually agree on liking (well, most people in it that is lol, can't please everyone). It's nice seeing someone else had the idea of using more of his music in SB though, I certainly would like to see some more diversity in the tracks vanilla planets and locations have, but a modding resource could be handy for modded planets too, especially in making them more distinct without having the music feel off
16BitPotato 26 Mar, 2022 @ 9:03pm
Aha, a fellow Schweitzer enjoyer. Reminds me that I considered trying to implement Celestial and Aeterna, though it would be a much larger project in scope. I wonder if there would be much demand for them implemented as a modder's resource; some new vanilla-style songs would certainly break up the monotony of hearing Forest Battle 2 for the hundredth time.
