commonality is set to 0, no raiders should have acces to them normaly

Opinion: Stats on the heavy bow is basically a day 1 accessible plus ultratech legendary sniper rifle.
Do NPC tribals have access to this and the Jade Spirit Bow? The damage and accuracy on these are astounding.

Also there is a bit of a strange interaction between these bows and run and gun, they seem to stop to fire, not always (which is even weirder) but if say you tell them to move and they're firing they'll start moving (fire timer ticks in) and then they'll stop and fire and then start moving again (rinse repeat usually resulting in the attacking pawn achieving melee damage)...just a bit odd, not 100% on what is causing it...

Mate, you've got to make these stuffable, if only with Woody category, basic texture mask so the strings/highlights stay the desired colour (easy if you still have the original mask layers). Steel bows like Turok, Bone bows for the Bosmer, Insect bows made from Chitin! Lot of potential (plus the stat hikes subject to the ingredients). Really like it though, there's not enough standalone bow mods out there.

@Delta1138 Yes there is planed to give them better sounds its just the placeholder for now.

@Xell will you apply a different sound effect to the flame bow arrows? Wasn't sure if it's a limitation of the projectile you've used or what but when you have a few of them firing its like a orchestra of mini explosions instead of the deadly 'fwoosh tschhh' it should be. I noticed the medieval Roylaty Empire in my modlist turned up with them. Sufficed to say, nobody messed with them that day.

right i was thinking that too i might reduce the range a bit and slow down the shooting speed so its more of a sniper rifle.

i love the bows, however i understand the heavy bow's design but it does way to much damage for the range, if anything i would suspect the heavy bow to be more of a shotgun type of bow if i could recommend to lower its range to 25 maybe or at least lower some of its damage, that aside you've done a fantastic job

hm thinking about that i could make it so it accepts woody/metallic stuff but the bows get you so much value as a tribe you might need to look for wood via trade or dryads - think of it as part of the challenge otherwise it would not be rimworld :D

could they be made Woody stuffable for tree worshipper tribals? Hard to grow that much wood for a bow or two. Also, awesome mod, as you said this does really even the playing field for ludite tribals

I planned them for late game for fighting as tribe against machs and so on so the got that special ouch to them :steamhappy:

Jesus wept man these are some OP bows! Nice implementation and love the artwork but godamn early game they mop the floor with anything and everything...I'm playing with the ESCP spriggans mod, you harvest the trees to make the bows, the spriggans attack because you cut the trees, you kill the spriggans with the bows...it's a vicious circle
