@Stubkan - Unfortunately there isn't a way to make it work easily without adding a condition to each logentry and any existing conditional statements that specifies that the race doesn't equal Android or whatever the raceDef says for Androids. I haven't been able to mess around with the conditions much when Biotech launched, but I will try to poke around when I have some free time. Just started playing again recently.

This is great for child dialogue, however it makes Vanilla Expanded Androids act like babbling idiots because they happen to have small ages - could I request an update so Androids get adult dialogue like they should be?

Hey.Thx for the quick response.I just use a few recommended modslike harmony and a few like warcrimes(of course) ans it worked fine.all in all 8 mods.I use no mod manager. So I tried to install Rimpy(with tutorial) and got to the point where I have to download something from Github.like in the past with other games( battle brothers legends and so on)I tried to figure out how the fuck it works but github sucks.( I m old and I just taught myself the basic stuff I know right now).Sry just needed to get it out of my system^^. My two kids showed me ur mod cuz they knew I d love it. so thanks again for the quick response and keep up the good work. (sry for my bad english.not my native language) bye

@wissdoom - hmm, I've tested it extensively with Ideology, so it should work fine. Make it's loaded under SpeakUp! and outside of that, there is no reason why it shouldn't work. Double check the requirements for SpeakUp! are installed and that the load order is correct. If it still doesn't load, export your HugsLib log file (assuming you're using RimPy as your mod manager), Ctrl+Alt+F12 in game.

@snake - yeah part of the reason for that is that the original mod had some weird opinion values and traits set as Initiators for certain dialogue. I went through and adjusted some of the values, but it's likely that over time, I've missed some. I keep meaning to come back and make updates for the new DLC, and that's one of the things I'm going to change whenever I do.

Hey.I love this mod so much that I cannot play without it anymore. yesterday I bought the Ideology DLC and after starting a new game the kids where talking normal again.( and that reeeeeally sucks after playing with ur mod) I get no errorlog or anything. maybe reinstall everything??? plz help

cool mod, although its weird how often i see adults straight up abusing mentally children when they dont even have negative opinion of each other. ive seen mother that has no rude traits and was at 90% mood meter so not stressed and have positive opinion, curse at her child and stuff xd

@Settlerking - Weird, I've not used the Asimov mod, but I will download it and see what I can find out too. If regular SpeakUp doesn't play, it's likely SpeakUp that is causing the issue since this just builds upon the framework created by SpeakUp by adding to the existing InteractionDefs, but on the other hand, it's entirely possible there is an XML error or something causing the issue due to this mod. all other pawns are fine btw. It also has zero issues with the "animal-like" pawns using the asimov framework since they don't interact with the social system at all

Im fairly certain this mod conflicts with asimov framework, Any human-like droid using that framework will break speakup. I'm unsure if it's base level speakup or this add-on to it but I think it might be this add-on. I'm investigating what causes it, but it keeps failing to generate dialogue for Asimov pawns consistently.

@Ollie-Raven it only impacts characters under certain ages. Since Androids are typically aged under 9 years old, it impacts them because of that. Unfortunately, there's no way to fix it currently.

This seems to cause all ages of ABF android mods to speak like babies. Regardless of the andriods age

@lol - Funeral interactions are from Ideology I believe. Either way, the error is save to ignore, it just means the interaction won't play

Consider adding Biotech as a prerequisite?

@olaflexalex0306 - awesome, I'll check to see what changes need made, but I'm assuming the core SpeakUp mod just needed recompiled under the new framework, in which case it should work now, but I'll verify within the next day or two.

I'd love it if you made a check or some sort of fix for non-human races like the Vanilla Expanded Androids in the future, because it's just /slightly/ aggravating to see all of my adult robot colonists babbling like stroke victims because your mod thinks they're a toddler. I don't want to have to make them all teenaged when they're still very new androids who don't have much world experience.

There are gigantic, world-overturning mods. There are mods that change the whole gameplay or interface.
But THIS flavor mod is one of my top 5 "cannot go without"s, because it makes me SO happy to see things like my charismatic vampire cult and political leader being interrupted in their big big leader speech by a cranky three year old in the front row crying and making spit bubbles.
I love it. Can't wait for updates!

like, my kid dusk has a 100 relationship with his dad, but his dad threatened to beat him with a belt

@TreyTM - because your colonists hate them (opinion is less than 0). At some point I will push a large update to address some of the babbling and whatnot, I unfortunately haven't had a ton of time to work on it lately due to some personal issues. Sorry!

why are my colonists constantly threatening my children with beatings in a completely out of character way

Unfortunately haven't noticed if the error applies with baby pawns as well. Dont really know what triggers the error specifically.

@Ram- Looks like that error occurred due to there not being a parameter in place for dialogue between ages 4 and 10 in that particular instance. I will try to push an update out later today hopefully.

@Catch Lightning - The toy dialogue is a leftover from Babies and Children, but at some point I plan to make the mod more integrated with Biotech and will likely remove the Babies and Children references. I had heard there was going to be a 1.4 update to the mod, which is why I kept them in there. As far as the triggering of dialogues, I have an assembly I'm working on that will enable you to use the RMB menu to initiate a conversation, still working that one out at the moment.

Also I feel like I could have lived my life better without knowledge of Poop mod though. I love your mod overall though and wish I could more easily trigger a lot of the dialogs. What's a child toy exactly is that also children school and learning? I have the mod Plushies which is seemed to be implied to be what they are talking about but I sure don't see them talking about Plushies. If not I think Plush's would be a great integration!

Work watching then and some others never seem to fire either. I'm not sure about how those mods currently integrate into Biotech So I haven't tried them. But my big concern is I have pawns who seem to clearly hate kids despite not having "mean" traits or genes. Or even worse pawns with kind firing off insults which is detrimental to my efforts to put kind instinct on everyone I can. I wish they wouldn't constantly talk about beating a kid in front of their mother. IRL under Rimworld rules she'd be in one of those graves if I was the kid's patent the second time she threatened my kid after a nice warning. A parental theat interaction on that would be nice.
