@OmegaProtocol Yes, there is one repeatable engineering tech this overwrites that gives building speed.

Does this mod affect any repeatables? Genuinely don't remember if there are any repeatables based on construction time, but I'm currently researching a compatibility issue with one of the mods I'm using where another mod is affecting repeatables in a way that causes the issue, and I'm trying to figure out which of the mods is responsible for affecting repeatables in the relevant manner. Even if it does I doubt that this mod is responsible given it's focused nature, but better to check anyway, just in case.

Yea, I checked and it's basically just a localisation swap, it should be applying the effects.

Hi:

This mod seems overwrite the content of 05_paragon_situations.txt by partial modified value to make other situations in this file disappear, which cause error in error.log

Maybe it is only forget to rename the 05_paragon_situations.txt in this mod to something like zz_paragon_situations.txt, which may fix this issue.

I've removed the leader traits part of the mod, not sure what was causing the issue but this should stop it from happening any more while I work on a better fix.

@Sidewinder Fang After some testing, it's not just gigastructures, so my last message was incorrect in that regard. I played with this as the only mod and got the same issues. Maybe it's something to do with the recent update?

After testing, its not from compatibility with gigastructures. Having the same leader issues with this as the only mod.

Having issues with this mod and gigastructures together, even tried switching the load orders around. It causes negative traits to show as options for leaders on level up, and many level 1 leaders will only have a negative trait and no positives.

@OmegaEntertainment Nah, it's yours, you can do whatever you want with it, use it personally or publish it yourself. I don't have a monopoly on the stellaris code and anyone can take and modify my stuff for their own projects.

@OmegaEntertainment That should work, I'd suggest checking out the section on tech modding on the stellaris wiki, it generally lays out how the files are written pretty well and what each part does, and if you have any more questions the stellaris modding den is usually pretty good.

Alright, so theoretically I could just copy your version of Assembly Algorithms, remove the planetary build effect, bump up the amount that it can be repeated, and then modify it until it's unrecognizable from what it was?

I found at least part of the problem, you accidentally put a - instead of = in the scientist traits file. mod got updated so I can't go back and find the exact line in the file.

I've confirmed the issues with leader traits, I have no idea what's causing them but that code has always been somewhat finicky so I'm just going to disable that portion of the mod (again) until I can figure out why it keeps breaking.

Hey I'm running into a bug with this mod, its getting rid of all my tech specific scientist traits. None of my scientists have specialization in a tech area for example propulsion, nor can they get any research focus trait after becoming a veteran researcher.

I've run into a rather odd bug with this mod.
As a gestalt empire, hive or machine, I am unable to select any veteran upgrades for my cognitive nodes. I have tested it with only this mod enabled and it still popped up.

holding_orbital_assembly_complex: lot of stuff seems to have been removed in 3.8.

tech_construction_templates: AI weighting changed from being based on research leaders to having leaders with a given trait in the council

tr_prosperity_sct: new tooltip added that's missing in the mod

For some reason I thought there was more than that, sorry. Nothing breaks, just some minor missing things.

It doesn't break anything, but there's some old code referring to scientist specialties left over in the technologies, and some stuff added by 3.8 seems to be missing.

@kinngrimm Assembly Algorithms is a repeatable tech and has the planetary decision build speed bonus applied, however looking at the wiki it seems its vanilla effects may have been buffed recently so I may look at buffing my own effects on it as well.

@Wilmfe23 This mod isn't about adding decisions, just speeding up the ones that take time to build in line with the building speed boosts added by technologies and other parts of the game.

One decision I would like to see added perhaps is that you can reduce output by 50% and happiness by 25% and population growth -50% to get +100% build speed. If you want to build up a planet as quickly as possible and don't care about production.
