Could you give the Ascension Perk Slot Society Research a hard Cap like 500 or 1000 times research, i already went for around the 1536 time research and the game simply stop progress the research due to sheer cost and research i make.

You need to use the UI overhaul dynamic. It might take a minute for them to update it I haven't checked yet.

Also as a side note, this mod almost certainly will work in 4.0 without any changes on my end.

Hey! I know your working on getting things updated....I just have a question....how can you use all 200 slots? I lose scroll capability at some point but it looks to just keeps going....unless I'm not counting and it is 200 and I'm just an idiot? That's also a very very valid potential.

Yes. It needs a Tradition slot. But the do not check for a free slot. THey count the choosen ones.

Huh, I didn't know that. Do you mean ascension perks? I don't wanna mess around with any ascension perks in this mod because I just want it to add the ability to get more, and not touch anything existing. This mod doesn't touch any ascension perks so any problems related to their specifics is outside the scope of this mod. Also, 4.0 is coming out soonish so I don't have any idea just how badly that will break this mod and my other mod.

Hi. A bug: There is a check, vanilla, that counts if you have more than 6 Traditions picked. If so, it will block Synthetic Age/Organo-Machine.

Just checked and, including all the mods I can use, can't because they're an update or two behind so I need to wait, and can't because they're deprecated, I've got 141 total. If everyone encountering this issue is only doing so after getting to similar numbers, that'd be a good sign of whether or not it's related.

Thankfully it wasn't persistent, I just had to wait with the launcher open for long enough, and eventually it stopped complaining. Still, it really is weird. I wonder if it's related to how many mods you've downloaded? I've got a ton of them myself, and I never got round to fully removing all the deprecated ones, so I've probably built up quite the number of them. Maybe after a certain point it starts to have difficulty verifying the descriptor files? Food for thought, if nothing else.

Yeah that's a thing that happens sometimes with mods on Stellaris. If it's persistent than you usually just need to unsubscribe and then launch the launcher, let it load and realise it's gone, then close the launcher, resubscribe and it should be fixed.

So I seem to be having a problem with both this and your Ascension Perks Broadened mods where the launcher keeps insisting they are missing a descriptor file and so it refuses to enable them. Is there any way to fix this?

You need to progress a bit to for it to show up. Try using the console command to force an unlock if it's not working to see if it's properly installed. If in doubt unsubscribe and resubscribe and see if that helps.

Since 3.10, I never get the tech to research more perks. I get the opening screen that asks if you want it easy, normal, or hard but that is all.

You can use it mid game but you won't be able to select which one and it will default to a medium difficulty. Also the "event repeat.1" is something you can type into the console to choose your difficulty but it may jank out.

Oh yeah I also set it to by default use the normal difficulty techs so even without doing that from what I remember it *should* work.

It does actually work midgame, although you need to be able to type in 'event repeat.1' (without quotation marks) in the console

Currently UI Overhaul Dynamic isn't updated so until it's been updated this mod can't be used but I can't imagine anything will have changed this mod so I'll leave this updated to 3.10 while we wait for UI to update and check if this mod needs any changes.

Well this mod and that mod do very similar things so I would pick one to install. They are probably incompatible in that whichever event you pick first is going to be overwritten by the second choice. It shouldn't break anything though, just be a bit weird when you start a new game having the two pop ups.

100 seems to be the hard cap for ascension perks in my testing, but it won't ever stop showing the tech. I sort of assumed that anyone reaching 100 ascension perks probably already has long since unlocked every available ascension perk to them.

Does the tech research ever end or stop? I think it's reached the limit of 100 perks, but it still shows up in research.

It's literally set as a requirement. When you subscribe to it it will tell you it's a requirement, and on the right of the page you'll see it listed as a requirement.

Yes, there will be a 3.7 version, and it's almost certainly already compatible with 3.6.

I believe this mod does work just fine with 3.6, I just haven't updated the file so that it doesn't give a warning on the launcher. I might be wrong but later this week I'll be going through and checking it to see if it's all still functioning fine.

The code for extra slots isn't a console command, it's modifying the base games code. It's set in the defines part of the game, under the 00_defines.txt file located in the defines folder under the common folder.. For my mod it reads as:
NGameplay = {
ASCENSION_PERKS_SLOTS = 200
}

You can't enter this as a console command, it won't work. You can modify the base game files to set this to whatever you want, but from what I tried 100 seems to be the hard cap unless I missed something and setting it to 200 doesn't work for some other reason.

Do you happen to know what code would give the extra slots? I'm trying to work it out but I don't know where to begin. The only codes I see on this page are for the techs themselves, not for slots.

I picked arbitrarily in the first place, I know your max is 100, I think I asked for like 40. Problem is, I still have tons left (and no, balance is my last concern playing with ACOT haha)

Mid game this mod should increase the slots because the method of slot increase is directly modifying the base game values for ascension perks. Unless I'm misremembering. From there you can use the console commands listed to grant yourself perk slots, but depending on how many you give yourself it'll feel very cheaty. Otherwise there's no real way I know off to implement it mid game.

I gravely underestimated how many perks I had added to my game- strange question but is there a console command or other method to increase the number of slots mid game? I'm a good part of the way through an insane ACOT playthrough with Phanon tech, so if possible I wouldn't like to just throw it all away

I have the desirability of the tech set higher than the other repeatables because from what I remember if I don't set it higher then auto research never bothers with it until the very end. If you want to pick other things I recommend just biting the bullet and leaving society research to managed manually. It's the only category of tech you'll see this in.

Hey, have been playing on a pretty heavily modded game with some friends and our research has pushed allot of tech to only be 1-2 months so it would help quite a bit to enable auto-research, but for society it seems to only be selecting this mods repeatable ascension tech, do you know of any workaround for this?
