@Hal 9000 those countries spawn at the start of a game, I don't think you can form them.

Hey, I just wanted to post a quick comment asking how to form the burning/ obsidian empires? I'm in the correct version of the game and have seized and integrated 30 provinces but I have no ability to form a different nation.

Would it be possible to have a game rule for the number of large landmasses you want? (i.e. 0,1,2...,random) If not, could you point me to the files that add this requirement?

I'm not sure, did the new patch made any changes to the map or the map generation? If not, then I'm sure they will be compatible, but if new tiles were added/deleted then the game will crash at startup. As for the resource generation it shouldn't be much of a problem since some functions overlap and will simply be replaced by the vanilla ones.

In Steam I can change the patch version manually at "properties >Beta >>1.34* " If I do this and play on an older Patch than 1.35 is this mod still compatible and playable, if yes does it has to be a specific version?

I click "Random New World" on the country selection page, and it always just shows the normal Earth globe. Do I need to generate it somewhere else?

Also, is there a direct link for RNW Improvements Updated?

I play on version 1.34 and half of the declared things are missing - there are no formed high-American tags, wineland and injou do not have the ideas specified in the mod, porcelain and silk are not generated. What is it connected with? Should I upgrade to 1.33?

The new world empires seem to not have randomized nation ideas, they just get default ones. Is that intended? Yingzhou and Vinland get unique ideas but none are set for Obsidian, Burning, Crimson or the League.

is there maybe a way to make it so you could choose how much land you want. like setting to make it a certain percent or even a setting like low, medium, high, total land coverage.

This Mod and Random More RNW Tiles (updated) are the only mods that I run, but no worries, as I said I've just moved on to the new version, it happens sometimes, and again I appreciate the effort.

I did revert the changes though. The only things I've changed were a file that now has more province names and the descriptor. Probably another mod you have is causing problems.

Thanks for responding and trying to fix that but now it's just crashing when I load the save game, I guess I'll just move on to the new patch. Been wanting to give it a try anyway :)

@urquan025 It probably has to do with some change I've made in some files that might not be compatible with other mods... I'll revert those changes and keep it compatible with 1.34, it should work with 1.33 just fine.

Not sure of everything that Beyond Typus changes, but is not compatible with BT atm. It will not allow a RNW generation with a starting date beyond 1000ad.

One suggestion I have for this mod is to have ocean currents influence the climates. For example, the west coasts of continents tend to hzve Jungles on the Equator, Deserts around the Tropic of Cancer/Capricorn, Mediterranean climate around 30-45 degrees latitude, Oceanic from 45-60 degrees and cold climates toward the Arctic/Antarctic Circles. West coasts will also have milder winters due to the oceanic air masses, while the further east you go the colder things get (compare Portland to Montreal in North America or Paris to Khabarovsk in Eurasia). Rain shadows from mountain ranges would also be a good addition. I'm not sure how much control you have over the maps, but stuff like this would be things that would make the game much more realistic IMO.

I found the reason ideagroups didn't switch: The Idea Swap event (ideagroups.1, at the very bottom of the ideagroups.txt in the event folder) is missing a bracket. The trigger in the first option isn't closed.

@Mackeroni In case this doesn't get updated you can just do it yourself real quick and it should fix your run if you still want to finish it.

@Mackeroni That's weird, I played with this mod and Formables Expanded and I had no problem with getting new ideas from a formable nation. I can look into that, but I didn't change the code, I just updated the old one to fit the new game version.
