is this mod also adding walls graphics to the city in 1178 bookmarks? and will you add the fortification for temple holdings as well? (:

I really wish you would make this the walls for castles as well because it always bothered me that walls increased the damage of Heavy Calvary instead of Archers like what the heck are walls gonna do for Heavy Calv! Walls have always been archers best friends! and Horses historically and practically do worse behind tall walls!

@macintosh1257 I do not intend to make walls for temples, no. I know some monasteries were fortified, this was not nearly as universal as cities having walls.

@Tezcat you just subscribe the item, and as you open up Ck3 inside the CK3 manager there is section for mods where you can turn off and on the mods.

@CaliBlueBear they changed how achievements work with the new update, meaning they now can be achieved even without ironman mode and while running mods (to be in line with victoria 3) so yes

Requires Update. With the new update, it just keeps crashing, all my other mods work fine each other but this one does not want to launch, even been only mod active.

@Caloens2k1 I don't think it needs an update since Friends and Foes shouldn't have touched holdings and buildings but if it doesn't seem to work do tell me so I can see what I can do.

@markel.gomezromo I haven't really played CK3 in a while but I did run the game with it and the new DLC a few days after the update and it seemed to work right. What seems to be the problem with the mod in its current state under the new update?

The mod doesn't seem to work on the friends and foes update. Are you planning to fix the mod i really enjoyed the fortifies cities. It made playing republics with other mods really fun

@The Black Rider I've run the updated game with the mod in its current form and it seems to work fine. afaik the recent update doesn't really affect how this mod works since the update is to do with inter-character interactions and events rather than anything to do with buildings or holdings.

@[Army of Two] AXIS only AI with republican government will build them (just like all city buildings, even in vanilla), and most republican AI in the game are mayors who probably don't have the money to fund it as much. I would assume independent republics could upgrade it more reliably, like Pisa?

Also I noticed that the main city building line has garrisons and garrison reinforcement rate, so it is almost like Paradox thought about implementing walls for cities.

This sounds like it makes sense, since cities literally had walls. But in terms of gameplay I imagine this makes conquering slower since instead of just castles you have to get the cities as well. Not complaining, I am asking.

I copied the garrison (and fort level) effects from the Curtain Walls and Bastions chain of buildings, so that's more of a base game balance issue.

You can actually siege and occupy cities (and temples) in base game, IF they are fortified. Problem is, there aren't any buildings you can build in cities that increase fortification, so it only happens if:
- the city is a county capital (e.g. Pisa)
- the holder of the city either has the Defensive Measures perk (part of the Architect Stewardship lifestyle) or the Enduring Hardships perk (part of the Overseer Martial lifestyle)
- the duchy in which the city is in has one of the duchy buildings that increase fort level in all holdings in the duchy (either Marches or Siege Works)

But I'm glad you like it, it was a pretty simple mod to make tbh, took me a few hours last evening. Honestly don't know why no-one else has had this idea yet.

Good idea, however I'd reduce the perks especially garnison by 20-30%, it seems a bit large especially going from towerss to stone walls, thats a pretty whopping garrison. Also, in the game you cant siege or occupy a city, only castles, unless you're raiding. I never understood why they did it like that you should be able to attack any holding in a conty as an invader. But otherwise, I like it
