@NLuziaf Thank you!
Now it's just Isotope left to solve.. I pray that the likes of Pandemonium & Butterfly have prepared me for what's to come
@Nobody No-One Thank you very much for playing! Excellent work solving it; this is a very difficult puzzle. It is true that a thorough understanding of the nuances of the layout is necessary before the player can even start thinking properly about actually viable exit strategies. Please refrain from putting too much effort into a speedrun recording of the map though :P We all know what happened all the way back with Mirror Symmetry... xD
I'm glad you like the music by the way! I have not used it before, I composed it just for this map
But it was an excellent puzzle, lots of cubes and portals management in this one.
This map drained me a lot because the logic was so complex
My blind playthrough : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft4u8g7j8hs
It took me quite a long time to figure it out. In the end I solved it similar to @可砸. Some intermediate steps I have done a little differently, but the important steps are the same. I am also relatively sure that there is only this "clean" solution because I really tried a lot of things before I found the solution. Great puzzle!!!
My playthrough:
@Mikeastro Disabling laser collision changes and removes major game mechanics. Lasers are obstacles that need to avoided while working to get them to go where you want them to go. The lasers are SUPPOSED to be dangerous. And if I'm not mistaking, they were originally supposed to kill the player on contact.
@可砸 Thanks for stepping in, but I don't think they will change their position, nor will they in all likelihood provide more arguments. It's probably better to leave it at this. You can never please everyone I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I am also still interested to learn why it bothered you in the first place. I can understand being upset about this if the laser collision in this map was in fact on, but... it's not.
@TChapman500 Interesting. Why would that be a problem? Laser collision is disabled after all. In addition, I don't even think that the solution requires this at all. Which points in the solution video do you think would become impossible with laser collision enabled?
@jandlml Great work! I'm happy to hear that you liked it :D
@Narkodes Thank you very much for the high praise. Very nicely done, solving it essentially in one go, and thanks for pointing out some kinda iffy possibly mapbreaking moves.
@可砸 Thank you so much for the video! A perfect solution; all intended :D Admirable work sticking with it for so many days. I'm happy to hear that you liked it!
@Tom Thanks for playing! Indeed, that's a tricky part. Glad you liked it
Seriously, it's probably the best pure laser -fizzler puzzle I can think of. Especially because there's no goo pit and no custom fizzlers, laser fields or white floor surfaces. I struggled a bit when I reached a very powerful state in the middle, but after this brief moment of weakness, everything went well. Big thumbs up.
