Oh, and by the way, I tried installing BaseMod and that also threw its own exceptions since I apparently already have it or something?

So, I'm trying to use this mod but it won't work and it gives me an error log when I try to load the mod:

(pid:XTDMCounterDiceRetain) Exception of type 'System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException' was thrown.
The type initializer for 'HarmonyLib.Harmony' threw an exception.

Is it possible to change the counter die que, so that passive counter dice like "Retaliate" are put at the end of the que because pages with only counter dice like for example "To Claim Their Bones" are never played if the passive counter die doesn't lose a clash

Apparently PM, at some point, fixed the counter dice retaining after killing someone with a sort of patchwork solution in another place in the code. I added an extra patch on this mod to circumvent that fix. Let me know if it doesn't work or causes unintended side effects.

I know the base game has a bug where remaining defense dice do not get retained if the page causes a killing blow, i'm guessing the two issues are connected in some way.

Oddly enough, i think the base game also has an opposite bug where if a counter die kills an enemy it does not get consumed, so it is kinda odd that this mod would reverse that behaviour.
I'll look into it, i'm curious.

There is definitely a bug that makes the counter dice not retain. It appears to happen whenever the counter dice kills and enemy, but it could be related to something else

i made kim invincible with this
only problem: sometime when using "violet blade" it doesnt retain the counter dice
im using it on my strength monster bayard and sometimes the dice dissapears between different card clashes without loosing

having this mod on while doing Binah realization made things... interesting, to say the least. lol can't use binah to shoot down lamp death counters. got through anyway

Yes, it also applies to enemies. I could port the player-only version if people want it.

Make sure you start the game from Steam and select the "LOR with Mods" option. It should show you a screen letting you select which mods to enable before starting the game.
If this mod doesn't work after enabling it this way, try installing the BaseMods mod which you can find in the workshop.

how do i activate the mod or any mods from steam in general? i've already subscribed but it doesn't work and the mod file isn't present on the mod folder

Yes, you're right, I started it after I put the BaseMod and everything worked, only the BaseMod should be at the beginning.

Not sure, it still works for me with about 80 mods running at the same time. Maybe it doesn't work without Basemod? It shouldn't require it, i think, but i have never tried to run it without it either.
