While the sounds might be real, There is no bass to these,Mosin Nagant case and point, its nothing but a loud thud that shakes your chest. use Audicty and add more bass.

@RedTedRedemption

Yeah that is why I don't recommend getting any amateur "realistic" sound mods. They are just ripping sounds from poorly recorded Youtube videos which were probably recorded in mono with a freaking smart phone...

Taylorov's "realistic" sounds have the same problem. Only noobs that don't know anything about sound recording would dare go near these audio mods....
RedTedRedemption 1 Feb, 2015 @ 6:39am
It sounds like the weapon is in an open space even when inside a building. You should record these in a specialized room that eliminates all echo and reverb, and let the sound engine do the rest

if you literally doubled the volume with an audio editor on all of these it would be a lot more realistic.
makah21 18 Dec, 2014 @ 10:53pm
great recording just a bit to muffled for my likings

Will there be an update for the Colt / M1911 and M45?

PS: Love the mod, thanks for your work! :skyelaugh: b

Starfleet 3 Nov, 2014 @ 1:13pm
I've tried some of the other sound mods and always come back to this one. :-) Any chance of adding the AK-74? Stock sound is awful, in my opinion.
Soap Adeptus Lepus 8 Oct, 2014 @ 4:51pm
they are not working
>>>--CoCooN--> 14 Sep, 2014 @ 3:56am
Sounds are uneven, they are nice anyway. But for playing, isn't good... Hope you'll improve that normalizing sounds.

Tired of typing snd_restart every time you connect ? Just do this once : Type this into the console : "bind p "snd_restart" "...... So next time you connect, you just have press "p" (or whatever key you use" and there you go.
[ACPL] Jon 10 Aug, 2014 @ 9:35pm
Very good in my opinion. Just need a better AKM, imo.
Kimosabe 10 Aug, 2014 @ 9:01am
the sound was nice yeah but... most weapons have the same sounds... sorry is orrible
KIM JONG LADYBOIII UN 4 Aug, 2014 @ 4:11pm
its ok, the guns sound even faker though. sounds like they were recorded from either very far away, or in an indoor range which makes the sound worse.
SiC 28 Jul, 2014 @ 10:03am
These sound great! Time and effort well-spent! :)

hi, im trying to make a sound pack of my own, im runningg into some trouble though.
ive made a few sounds to try out and i labeled them correctly and everyrthing. So i have every single file folder
so basically if you go into insurgency2>insurgency>sound>weapons> i imported all off those files and just changed a few weapons to make sure it will work. then i drag out the whole folder
(thefoldersname)>sound>weapons>all the different weapon folders
into the VPK application that converts them the steam texture file (if thats not the exact name you should know what im talking about)
then i take that converted file and drag that into the custom folder (where the workshop folder is)

I hope you can understand that. my guess is i just done have the correct file placment. can anyone help???

imma try plating without this mod and try with it, the sounds are great from the video and thx for making this. Btw did you record them yourself?
Lt. Jimmy Patterson  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 2:51pm
Do you all want me to make customized footstep sounds also?
Slightburn 18 Jul, 2014 @ 6:46pm
Ok, thank you, but I just wanted to say if I had to do it EVERY time I joined a server, but I kind of experimented myself.
Lt. Jimmy Patterson  [author] 17 Jul, 2014 @ 6:47pm
Since the update you have to type in the console once you join the server : snd_restart
Then the sounds will play! The devs will fix this with a later update.
Slightburn 15 Jul, 2014 @ 11:23am
I have just one question, do I have to type in snd_restart every time I join a server, or just once and it will work fine forever.
Lt. Jimmy Patterson  [author] 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:54am
Thank you sir glad you enjoy!
xx-LSD-xx 14 Jul, 2014 @ 12:28am
The weapons sounds are great and working just fine. Just make sure you type snd_restart in ~console after you join a server. Thank you for work in making this. Much better than the stock weapon sounds.
Jason 13 Jul, 2014 @ 8:03am
no sounds :(
ObeseDolphin 12 Jul, 2014 @ 3:11am
Crestfall// try typing snd_restart on your console after joining a server

"Note: After the update, if you have any issues with the sounds not working, Type "snd_restart" in console (without quotations) once you're in game. "
Glucose Guardian 10 Jul, 2014 @ 4:43pm
Actually now that i try it out it doesnt work it completly removes gunfire sounds...........
Lt. Jimmy Patterson  [author] 10 Jul, 2014 @ 3:57pm

Thanx Stevetrooper. Worked fine. :)
beebo 8 Jul, 2014 @ 2:14pm
Type "snd_restart" in console and the sound pack should work.
Warlord 8 Jul, 2014 @ 1:45pm
How do i get the original sounds back? Is jclewis getting it work again?
Warlord 8 Jul, 2014 @ 1:43pm
No gunfire sounds at all.. :(
beebo 8 Jul, 2014 @ 1:37pm
Sound packs are no longer functioning after today's update.
Lt. Jimmy Patterson  [author] 7 Jul, 2014 @ 5:36pm
Thanks gents! Perhaps with the next update on can increase the volume even louder
Edynn 7 Jul, 2014 @ 10:50am
I agree with Khristopher. I was noticing that a lot of other sounds were drowning out the gunfire, and it was not loud, or impactful enough. I commend you for doing this though, and I enjoy the pack immensely. They sound really great
