@little diver, the mod makes sense cause if you are sieged from 1 side of a wall and you have access to supply lines from the back side of the wall. How would you have hunger attrition causing you to die? CA should implement this in the game full stop. Make them siege and FIGHT.

At least the effect on the settlements is still there with 90% attrition resistance

Announcement of End of Maintenance

Hi everyone,

After seven years of modding, I've decided to step aside due to significant changes in my personal situation. Unfortunately, I no longer have enough time, resources, or energy for gaming and modding. I appreciate your understanding and respect for my decision.

Most of my mods will be classified as End of Maintenance , with regular updates ceasing. While many should still function, if any encounter issues and you wish to take over, please contact me on Discord. Updates may occasionally occur for minor bug fixes or if I'm inclined, but this won't be the norm.

Thank you all for your overwhelming support over the years—love, positive comments, donations, ideas, and everything shared. It means a lot. What began as a personal hobby has grown into a community with tens of thousands of subscribers, some mods surpassing the 50k mark. Leaving is tough, but I believe it's a decision for the better.

All of them were updated on the 2 Dec (you can see the date in this page), so unsubscribe and subscribe to force a new download.

Hey, just want to let you know. This and some of your other mods still show as outdated in the mod loader. I just reinstalled it too. So you might still have some outdated files in there.

I use this mod, "Ulthuan Gates take no attrition", Allegiance of the damned and VCO. But only VCO shows as updated.

I dont think Vanu Realizes how stupidley big these walls are to exert a blockade from only one side is simply impossible.

@Vanu are you not aware that behind the bastion is literally the entire country of Cathay without any sort of anything between?

They only trade from the inside? Only chaos exists on the outside of the wall. I think you might want to look at the Great Bastion again. They can only siege from the side of chaos, the other side is completely open to trade for needed resources or reinforcements.

If they had already breached the wall, and were laying siege from the inside of the wall, where the rest of Cathay is, then yes there should be no replenishment at all.

CA didn't wanna commit that level of complexity to the Great Bastion, so the best we can do is lower the attrition as much as possible. Is it fair when they breach the wall and lay siege from the inside? No, but I have also never seen that happen in all my Cathay campaigns. If they breach the wall, they go for settlements near their breach, never towards another gate.

I more meant that even if the siege is just outside if it was across all sections (or a suitable blockade had been erected, then while you might not be able to prevent them from getting new troops easily from the back of the wall (unless overexerted), you could prevent trade and such from arriving.

If you sieged from outside the wall and inside or just inside, yes. But I've never seen a siege from both sides, and a siege from inside is quite rare in my experience.

If you surrounded the wall and laid siege to all parts of it wouldn't you therefore be able to reduce the ability for outside support such as trade and such?

Because it makes no sense, and completely defeats the purpose of the bastion? You couldn't cut them off from supplies without having already breached the wall.

The Problem seems to extend to the enemy being able to build 15 Siege Towers in one turn, rendering this mod useless.

Does this prevent me from building siege equipment at the bastion? Because im currently not able to do so.
