A submod is required, yes. It is, however, a simple one given the desired scope.
Shouravik 15 Jun @ 8:21pm
Ah you're saying for me to make a compat mod, I am tracking now
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 15 Jun @ 8:20pm
Same way you make a skill for any character.
Shouravik 15 Jun @ 8:10pm
How do I do that?
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 15 Jun @ 7:56pm
You need to add the skill dump skill to any modded characters you want to not have skill points lying around for.
Shouravik 15 Jun @ 6:09pm
Is there a way to make this compatible with Dark Land Orcs?
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 12 May @ 1:15pm
Fixed.
dmanmullet 4 May @ 4:18pm
Ya some of the ogres are missing the skill dump as well
Kingpanther7 18 Nov, 2024 @ 6:05pm

Kingpanther7 18 Nov, 2024 @ 6:05pm

Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 4 Nov, 2024 @ 9:21am
No extra characters have been added, so I'm going to go with yes.
𝓢𝓷𝓸𝔀 ℬ𝓪𝓵𝓵 4 Nov, 2024 @ 8:32am
is this still up to date?
✪ Vestor™ 6 May, 2024 @ 3:05am
Hi, Gotrek doesn't have the Skill dump
Korvyr 4 May, 2024 @ 7:18pm
Just started a malakai campaign, and it seems like Gotrek doesn't have the skill dump, is that the same for others, or just some circumstance of the other mods I have?
Brentticorn 3 May, 2024 @ 1:36pm
For some reason after the hotfix today, this and similar mods aren't working on Lords for me anymore (but it's working just fine on Heroes.) No idea why.
Grumman 2 May, 2024 @ 6:44am
I did notice Elspeth has an extra skill or two on the top row. Maybe the original skills are overriding the normal position of the skill dump?
Grumman 2 May, 2024 @ 5:58am
I have deleted, unsubbed, resubbed and started a new campaign and still not seeing the skill dump for Elspeth.
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 2 May, 2024 @ 4:46am
They've had skill dumps for 24 hours. Forcibly update the mod on your end.
lorddracon2002 2 May, 2024 @ 4:40am
confirmed, big sad
Just the Pip 1 May, 2024 @ 10:04am
Unfortunately, it seems none of the new lords or heroes have a skill point dump... sadness.
Just the Pip 1 May, 2024 @ 9:46am
I'll have to check the other new legendary lords, but Malakai Makaisson doesn't have a skill dump. Might also need to redownload the mod on my end, I'll test that while I'm at it.
Dragon of Desire 28 Apr, 2024 @ 2:11pm
Alright! Was wondering if it was possible. I'm REALLY happy you responded to me in only a few minutes, thanks a bunch for the reply!
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 28 Apr, 2024 @ 2:08pm
In short: No, that's not how skill points work.

Use a hex editor if all you want is cheats.
Dragon of Desire 28 Apr, 2024 @ 2:07pm
Is there any way you could do a cheat version where only the player(s) get the extra skill points?
xypherath 5 Mar, 2024 @ 8:02pm
Thank you so much for the update man, this is one of the best mods on the workshop
ICEDragoN 23 Feb, 2024 @ 7:34am
update please
xypherath 31 Jan, 2024 @ 8:53am
@rustydragonling I appreciate this advice however I've already added all the relevant character info to the skill dump mod and it still won't show up, my best guess is that maybe the tier/indent maybe needs to be changed but Idk what to do since I've already tried to tweak both
rustydragonling 29 Jan, 2024 @ 8:58pm
@xypherath You'll have to download RFPM and open two windows of the program. That way you can open up the mod and compare the characters who do have the dump to those who don't. Then just add in the missing information for the dump to appear ingame. :steamhappy:

Just remember to add that missing information into the skill dump mod, not the modded character mod. If that character doesn't exist in the skill dump mod, add a new row to include the character. That was what I had to do for the modernized generals. Also when you do this, don't save the edit you've done to the main skill dump mod. Save it as an entirely new mod so that it doesn't get overwritten when the original skill dump updates. Like my unique skill dump is called @com_4SP_dump_TWM rather than @com_4SP_dump.
xypherath 18 Jan, 2024 @ 2:17pm
@rustydragonling some modded characters don't display the skill dump while others do just fine, do you have any pointers?
rustydragonling 9 Jan, 2024 @ 5:57pm
For those who can't get the dump skill for your vanilla characters, I had to copy and paste the mod into the Data folder for it to work. No idea why, but I had to do that too when I got Total Modern Warfare to be compatible. Might be a unique fix for me, but give it a shot and see if it works around your problem.

If you try it and it works, just don't forget that it is in there. Data folder doesn't exactly ignore the files its got in there unlike the Workshop folder.

I have uncounted an issue. I don't know if it's intended or not, but once the character reaches level 41 they only get 1 skill point per level. So level 40 is the last level at which they get 4 points each.
xypherath 22 Dec, 2023 @ 9:59pm
very glad to finally get it working with modded characters however i have an issue where vanilla characters don't have the skill dump, did I mess up when modding or is there an update needed for it?
JohnFire 17 Dec, 2023 @ 3:51pm
update please
William Hughes 3 Dec, 2023 @ 2:57am
is there a mods that gives more skill points than this? the reason why I ask is. I am playing with a mod that adds 33 skills to lords and heroes. and now I am running out of skills points to use :P
xypherath 3 Nov, 2023 @ 2:52pm
Disregard my previous comments, I've actually got it working now, thank you so much for the help and willingness to answer my questions
xypherath 2 Nov, 2023 @ 3:50pm
I've tried to mess around with it and use the needed entries but I can't even launch the game since it says there's some kind of error with the databases, any solutions?
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 19 Oct, 2023 @ 1:21pm
Use the source mod(s) for reference. The author(s) had to make the relevant entries to create a skill tree for their characters.
xypherath 18 Oct, 2023 @ 8:28pm
So I've managed to to add all the stuff to the character_skill_node_set_items_tables but I'm not sure as to what goes into the items column for custom characters
rustydragonling 16 Oct, 2023 @ 1:06am
Thanks for letting us know. A workaround I shall go.
xypherath 15 Oct, 2023 @ 12:23am
Sounds good then, tysm for the info
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 14 Oct, 2023 @ 6:00pm
The required structure is already on display within the mod. Node set junctions got shifted off to an entirely different table because CA wanted to add a column for disabling vanilla skills but couldn't be bothered to do that in a sane fashion.
xypherath 14 Oct, 2023 @ 5:55pm
Thank you a lot, what's that second table called and where's it located?
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 14 Oct, 2023 @ 5:53pm
Same process, now with an additional (and AGAIN, unnecessary) table added to the mix.
xypherath 14 Oct, 2023 @ 5:52pm
@Abaddon not a clue, I knew how to do it before the changes, but I don't know how it works now
Abaddon 14 Oct, 2023 @ 9:27am
xypherath, any luck on figurin out how to add custom lords yet?
rustydragonling 3 Oct, 2023 @ 12:52am
Did I break the dump skill node or has the game updated with something that messed with it? Just wanting to know if it is only me before going forward with workarounds.
xypherath 1 Sep, 2023 @ 10:11am
@Illusive Madden what is this other method to add modded lords and heroes?
Commisar Jon Fuklaw  [author] 31 Aug, 2023 @ 8:56pm
Yeah, CA drives me nuts with COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY structure changes.
Illusive Madden 31 Aug, 2023 @ 5:36pm
Just came to comment that I got a chuckle out of your naming for the "new" method CA divvies out skills. Took me a minute of combing through the files when the usual method of adding other modded heroes/lords to this mod didn't work at first.

Appreciate your quick updates as always!
