Doesn't matter whether it's the player using it or the AI. CA added a fatigue penalty to lightning strike and reduced the morale penalty from -8 to -6 in the same patch. The scope of this mod has nothing to do with buffs to the AI - vanilla or otherwise - only the reversion of specific nerfs to lightning strike.

Don't like that? The modding tools are freely available on the internet and easy enough to use that a child could mod Total War. I implore you to use them.

Additional note: I wanted this to force 1v1 battles at all times. Ive since learned that you cant use LS when defending - -. multi army battles are very unfun, unbalanced and tanks my performance. Auto resolve almost allways favors your multi stacks too, further destroying the game balance. Multi army battles just suck in so many ways, poor design. we need a mod that forces 1v1 only. With enough mods buffing and fixing the AI, 1v1 battles can be actually challenging, even in the late game.
Im too advanced of a player to play on anything but very hard, But than the game just gets boring and tedious. Just a mass stack auto resolving fest. I want to actually play the game.

If a difference of two morale is OP to you, then you have other, bigger problems.

Removing fatigue penalty is what i want. The moral penalty however... Seems really OP. Id like it to be a normal battle, this is all.

thank you for this, until just now I thought there was a bug with the game. My army would be tired for no good reason and at first I did not realise it was lightning strike causing it. I do not understand why CA changed.

For anyone warded off by Ulysses, it IS working for me in SFO. Maybe they loaded it before SFO and it was overwritten? It's at the bottom of my load order, and it's working in my Skarbrand campaign.

Lightning strike is not just only -5, it's explicitly set to -5 by the version of the pack file I've gotten from the workshop here (unit_battle_setup_night_battle_defender_morale_bonus -5.0000)

CA hasn't changed anything about how the TWO lines in the mod work.

You still have to tick the lightning strike tickbox.
