that is only for units with custom anims, and this uses base game anims, so any errors are strictly from CA

Some melee units engage in climbing animations when fighting and in some cases with some mods ranged units are unable to shoot or fire at will doesn't work. Earlier I tried all my active mods and this mods jade warriors and I believe the other mod dead has with small shields both had the climbing bug, note having gone through so many mods the climbing bug can effect units differently, ex: in one mod only the banner carrier was bugged or another where a custom animation was applied it was every model in the unit constantly. From what i saw yours was on the mild side where those fighting in the front rows bugged every 10-15 secs.

You probably know but animations are bugged for unit mods after 3.0.

Fancied playing after half a year so naturally, this mod isn't the only one that caused a issue but it was the last one to sort out - il get back to you if I do the old unsub-resub trick and it still crashes.

Could have been your typical bug where it fails to update properly, whats weird was it was always on turn 4. Il give it a poke once I've re-enabled and checked all the other mods mate

Although maybe it's as simple as lance and spear, just like there are 2 words for somewhat different things in English, with lance being reused for gun in Chinese

From what I understand, the word for lance replaced the old word for spear, then was adapted for gun.

The old word for spear ironically might be more familiar to modern day people, as it survives in a proverb. Kind of about the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object
