Ok, I am currently having a run. The chest mimic don't duplicate at all. I think the cause of this bug is the item "Contract from below". I had it on a run with Eden where the Mimic's duplicated. I am very certaint that it is causing the bug.

That's a bug. If this happens again, can you pop the console and post any errors in it for me?

I like it. But they are duplicating rapidly, which is both laggy and also overpowered, since the chests stay if you leave and renenter a room.

Considering it works for me and other people just fine, I would assume it is conflicting with another mod. If that ever happens again, please open a console and screenshot any errors it has.

I've had three mimic chests so far and each have rapidly multiplied themselves to the point that one mimic chest suddenly becomes 20 normal chests (with some being mimics themselves). Do you know what might be causing this?

if you have the pay to win item, the gold chests will have a coin slot instead of a key slot, but the mimics will stay with a key slot.

While mimic is "pretending", it is for all intents and purposes a chest, so if you bomb the stone chest mimic from a safe distance, it will open and will never actually get up. As for the key, if it works in vanilla, it works the same here.

idea if you kill an stone chest with a bomb it opens :v or if use that key you can throw i frogot the name it insta dies and opens :v pro idea

Tried this, but it felt too punishing for me. Maybe I'm just bad, but it would be cool if mimic chest would be opened for free when killed.

Mod config support would require use of a language I don't know.

If you want to reduce the chance, navigate to the mod folder, open main.lua with a notepad, search for both "math.random(100) <= 10" lines, and replace 10 with whatever chance you want. If you want it lower, replace 10 with 5 for example.
