Oh, nice, thx for the info :)
tomaz  [author] 10 Sep, 2022 @ 5:12am
The idle label is positioned at the far-right, outside of the teammate panel. If I recall correctly, the idle label length should be big enough to be displayed in all languages.
Infernal 9 Sep, 2022 @ 9:47pm
Have some questions. Where does the IDLE Header go in this HUD? And what happens to its position on HUD due to its different size in different languages. Just interesting. Maybe you will add this info in your preview section later.

Thank you for the heads up but I already wrote a warning in the description. Most custom survivor skins will work but the custom incap images on this HUD are simply disabled. The portraits of some custom survivors have different named texture files, which can cause the incap images to not display properly, there's not much I can do unfortunately.

If you have a custom player model just to let you now it will conflict.

Having two different HUDs at the same time is generally a bad idea. You can change the chat box values in the basechat.res file, I'm not sure how you change the SI kill message but I'm willing to bet that it's somewhere in the hudlayout.res file.

The first thing to do when creating HUD mods is to download other HUD mods, check their contents and see how they work.

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/VGUI_Position_and_Size_Flags
This page may give you a better idea on how HUDs work.

I could create a guide explaining how to make custom HUDs but I'm kinda busy with other stuff at the moment.

also, any tips on where i can start to create my own HUD mods would be appreciated too.

hello there, i like this hud, i really do, but i also like gary's hud, wich was the hud i used before i started using this one, i tried using the main gary hud addon alongside this healthbar mod, and most of the features work pretty well really, except for the position of the SI kill message and the chat box looking different. so i'd like to ask what changes i would exactly need to do to PD:TH hud to incorporate the features i want from gary hud into PD:TH hud?

here's a picture of gary hud SI kill message for reference: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1825652694568305601/40383344B59398789E877C3F4CB453A9E2D50A04/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=#000000&letterbox=false

@lori - yep. Healthbars seems to have no change except for their sizing and position. Changing their actual texture should be fine at all.

i use a controller for l4d2 along with the dpad hud mod, is it possible to have it work with that mod to still have the dpad in the bottom right?
Baby❤ 8 May, 2022 @ 12:25pm
Love this HUD, always used the PDTH Hud mod when I played PD2. super happy to see something similar for L4D2. Thank you!

I like this mod because it is easier for me to see the health of others.
Rcana 4 May, 2022 @ 1:13am
Is it possible to change the healthbar colors? Like change from green to white?

Can you remove the survivors icons? is so annoying when playing with custom skins.

It should work for survival mode, no changes have been made to the survival UI.
Franco Serblin 14 Apr, 2022 @ 10:39am
is it works for survival mode? and did u made any changes for the top clock in survival mode? thanks good work btw
tomaz  [author] 14 Apr, 2022 @ 8:58am
I did attempt to do something similar for the local player's panel but due to how the health bar is hard-coded I couldn't really rotate it to be vertical, which is a bummer. Had to improvise a bit.
Mecha 14 Apr, 2022 @ 8:30am
My only gripe is that there doesn't seem to be a way to put the good old coloured filter over the portraits to make the depleting health look more visible and closer to the Payday The Heist Hud. Especially when said colours go from green to orange to red.
The numbers are also a nice touch for allowing for more precise health numbers to be visible.

Over all I really think this is a very good HUD, and I think I'll be getting used to this HUD soon.

Good work!
Pluvillion 14 Apr, 2022 @ 6:00am
The cleanest and modern-looking HUD in the workshop. It doesn't have clutter and it still follows L4D's design principle (most HUD mods I've seen tend to look too different that it starts looking not like L4D anymore).

Side note, if anyone's wondering, yes - custom health bars are compatible! However, I'm only using the 3-coloured version. I don't know if animated health bars will look okay. You could try tho!
