Hey @Flankspeed, for now I can't answer this question. The mod wasn't updated for a long time. In the future if I will have time and will back to game I will try to update it and if it's not working, fix it.

Does this work with build 42? Still my favorite mod to feed my packrat!

For anyone having this issue mentioned below, you can edit the value of the negative weight item in ...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2794160614\mods\WeightReducer\media\lua\client\ReducedItems.lua. Open it with a text editor, change the weight from -501 to the desired lower (or higher in this case?) value and save. You're done.

I was getting slowed down by the negative weight, so I set the value to -50 and it worked like charm. The change is detected when you restart the game.

For Clarification since i felt my previous post was unclear: 1. Heavy stuff in your backpack Slows you Down. 2. Because the Weight is Negative for the reducer you are considered carrying a lot of weight. 3. By moving the backpack with the Reducer to your inventory you are not penalized? and can run etc... 4. having multiple backpacks with reducers in your inventory is feasible, along with wearing a decorative backpack of some kind.

Noticed this Problem and figured it out, Because the weight is weird -XXX the backpack is considered smack full of stuff when the weight reducer is put into it. I worked around this by not wearing the Backpack/Storage Pack i put the weight reducer in. in my inventory as such i have no issue running and or sprinting anymore now i put 1 backpack on for appearance and another for storage in my inventory and it works fine.......

its ok, using it in backpacks its kind of a huge a buse, anyways, so the movement penalty fells just fine.

Hey @Ryder to be honest I am not sure what might cause this problem, right now I am not even able to test it because of lack of time. As I remember reducer was used only in crates etc and I think I didn't test it in vehicles (and not much tests for backpacks). Sorry that I can't help you.

Hello, im having this "issue", ill call it. When i use it in 2 equipped backpacks (not on hand) i.e. alice backpack and Fanny pack, my speed reduces drastically as if i were carrying too much weight, this affectcs cars too and, i know i know, tsars motorcicles and quad. Is it something fixable? should i tweak something?
Also, as a recommendation: if there are too many items in a crate ur game will lag a bit when u select that crate, so place them away from ut main living area or dont be an insane colector like me xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

So, I do not have it to craft, I need to upgrade the survivalist skill to craft it? Also, its expensive to craft or not?

Thank you for this mod this is legit the only working weight reducer I have found I tried several but this one was the only to work flawlessly.

Amazing mod! gotta catch a dead bird as part of the crafting recipe but other then that it's pretty easy to craft. More people need to know about this mod!. If you play hydrocraft you need this mod! Toss one of these feathers in one of your overflowing storage crates and bam tons more storage!

Well you just place it in container/backpack or other place you want to reduce weight(like car, wardrobe etc), like a regular item just put it in:), the amount of reduced weight is "hardcoded" to 500 but if you need more you can just put more reducers in same container.

Can you show how do it works? and what do you mean by place it ? do i place it inside of a container or on the floor? and can you add a option to change the amount we want?
