Mind if I ask how to remove the yellow bar that said 'Officer Class' in squad loadout?

I found it distracting as, while it consider to be officer, it not really officer in term of WotC context. So it kinda like over emphasize this class as so special while other soldier beneath him/her.

you mean that the class description "Battlefield Tactician" and the text below it doesn't show as in the pictures in the mod page?
That's weird. Try resubbing to the mod, and check if the file XComGame.int has indeed this text...

sorry to bother you w more questions: i am getting a block of nothing when i try and reclass to your officer - they are able to take the role and use the skills but in the description of the class there is nothing but blank space - i could pass a pic along if you need to see it in action.

The answer to that can probably be found in the localization of Rusty's Detailed Soldier List mod, as that is the thing adding that sign in the first place.

quick question: for a personal throughput i like to think of this role as a "Squad Leader" within the Squad Management mod setup.

Is there a way i can change the name from "Officer" to "Fireteam Leader" - I love the idea of reserving a spot for them and wanna elaborate on it more maybe in my private runs

well, in my previous campaign I had this animation glitch out on some soldiers, in my current campaign this glitch still didn't happen to me, so if I can't replicate this issue, then I can't possibly solve it, especially when this perk is not even mine, I just use the same perk from Iridar's mod. So there's really very little I can do about it.

the glitch happens on any! reloaded tactictal save(wonder why not with denmother), i tried it several time with different missions with true primary and only cosmetic and basic mod like highlander, still happens, the reason i do it so often cause im looking for a conflict which let this glitch happens anytime with denmother(even on new tactical map without reloading) or ur mod or grapple like abilities(from enemies)

I never saw the reposition doing damage thing, but I'll try to replicate.
As for the grappling gun glitching out, yes, I know, but I don't think I can do anything about it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...

TRUE Primary secondaries can be used as a full replacement to non-true version.
It should still work with stuff that expects to see non-true version.

maybe cause of the pistol and primary secondary(pistol in primary slot cause awkawrd behaviour like no stab(instead it uses slash)) with knife skills, im currently trying to switch to true primary, just need to find the conflicts with my current modlist

@lordabizi I find their command ability to be the perfect answer to many sticky situations. Once and engagement has started I often centralize this class so that many soldiers are able to be given a command. Command is a fabulous ability, perfect for this proficiency class.

Yes, I agree, I also use this class to scout mainly, but usually it comes down to some big and scary engagement where they need to do something more useful then holo, and then throwing a flashbang, especially with Sting Grenades is very helpful. So that's my rationale for hybrid holo/grenade build. And I usually try to force-feed the last enemy kill to the officer if possible.

@lordabizi I always do my best to help those that create the mods we all enjoy. My most recent play is also on Commander. A lot depends on style of play. Mine takes advantage of stealth. Scout/sniper is a big feature in most missions. I have watched videos of other players that play in ways that do not focus on stealth as much but that are just as effective. Snipers/marksman advance very quickly in my games. I really like the Proficiency Classes which make up the vast majority of classes I use. I also use Grimy's Anarchist class. The grenades do less damage but there are more of them. I find removing cover is more important than the damage done by grenades.

Hmm.. yes EXP might be a problem. Right now I'm playing on Commander so EXP is not an issue, but in my next game in Legend I'll see how slow it is. If I'll feel it's too slow I might make the kill assist stat lower (so they'll get more exp with less kills)....

although looking at the stats from my own game, they typically get an average of a kill per per mission, which is surprisingly high.

@lordabizi I am preparing for the final mission and still did not make maximum rank with this class which is partly my fault because I really spread out experience among soldiers. A large force pool is very durable against losses. My key focus in this class is skills that do not break stealth since, especially in the early game, a key focus is recon. One of my best soldiers in this class has been on twelve missions and has only two kills.

Rapid Targeting, Full Kit, Bomb Belts, Vital Point Targeting, whatever in Major rank (depends on what squad I run with this officer), and Sting Grenades.
I might adjust this slightly based on what the xcom row has, or what the squad is.

Unfortunately it does seem like Rapid Targeting is too valuable to pass on...

@lordabizi I mostly use the same builds on most classes. I use the skills that do not break concealment the most since this class performs recon. I always take the perk that gives the medkits more charges since medic actions do not break concealment. Once the squad is larger I take a reaper on very dangerous missions since the Proficiency Class Reapers easily can go into and out of concealment. The rapid holo action is also very good. I can tag two enemies since I take that action.

Can you comment on which specs you use? I know I mostly use almost the same build on all of mine (hyrbrid holo/grenade spec), but it's interesting to see what others can come up with.

@lordabizi Here is how I am using this class. I increase squad size by one with Robojumper's mod and use a mod that allows me to create squads. Each squad has one battlefield technician. This class is very fun to play. Soldiers in this class do not tend to get many kills but often help other soldiers get them. Their ability to support combat can not be underestimated. I have had several battles that could have turned out very differently without the support of this class.

Thanks for the update and making a fix/change for the med kit bug. I just love the base mechanic of appointing a move to anther soldier. I ended up merging this class as a base, along with K's officer class. End result is a true field general support class. He hardly uses his own weapon, his attack move is basically surveying the battlefield and using another solder as his attack move.
