I want to be able to rename my acquired puppet of Belgian Congo to German Congo. The fact there is no options for them is... annoying.

for some reason, this creates an issue with releaseable rp states that makes most nations not have a name

@G-Lew this isn't an overhaul but rather an addition, that I normally use alongside the old mod, because the old mod has some names missing from this one. So while it's unfortunate the author of this one decided to change vanilla names (causing dumb issues such as Anarchist Spain becoming "Kingdom of Spain"), I suggest you use the old mod instead when playing with total conversion mods.

If used with other mods like millennium dawn it removes half the nations names. The old mod never applied the cosmetic tag to ai nations but this mod for some reason does. Would be nice if we could have a version where it doesn't automatically apply to ai nations just the nation of your choosing.

Also, although capitalism may not be perfect, it sure is better than communism, for the main reason that the quality of life and how well-off they are in general. And, if you like communism so much, would you be willing to live in North Korea? Venezuela? Transnistria? all of these countries have a high amount of citizens in poverty and pretty much the least happiest countries

That being said, there are many fascists who PRETEND to be communists, by using the Red Star Skin Pack you mentioned. But it's really easy to tell them apart if you have a brain and a basic understanding of what communism is, because most of these fascists-in-red lack both.

Most Communists are Despots/Fascists who unlocked the Red Star Skin pack after not collapsing for 7 days.

So is there anyway to fix this, like when you have alot of puppets you have alot of decisions bc you can rename them but since it is like that it laggs alot or crashes

@Mr. WaffleFreak Paradox mods like this usually don't need to be updated often. Only major mods that seriously affect gameplay (map, tech tree, etc) are broken every update. While I haven't tested it myself yet, I'm fairly confident a mod that only adds a couple of decisions, cosmetic tags, and localization lines is perfectly fine to use with newer versions. It is safe to ignore the warning in the launcher.

@Paladin Ares you can make an ironman compatible mod that renames countries to whatever you want, but they'll be stuck like that, you won't be able to rename them midgame. The mod would contain just 1 file, localisation\english\countries_l_english.yml which contains all the names, that's all you need.

@Coolzero319 I think you should prevent communist countries from being named like monarchies at least, but other than that, good idea. Every other ideology in the game can be either a republic or a monarchy just fine.

Sorry for the long silence, I've been focusing on real-life stuff recently. I've thought about getting rid of ideology requirements to offer more creative freedoms and I honestly just might.

Actually yeah, what @Anders said, many liberal "democracies" are kingdoms and Italy historically was one after WW2 until a referendum in 1947 abolished the monarchy.

Wish there werent terms on renaming them. Invaded italy and puppeted them making it a constitutional democratic monarchy. But i cant name it kingdom of italy since it isnt non aligned or fascist.
