@Mipps The mod works for me on the most recent version of tModLoader. Is it an issue with the mod loading, or using the mod in game? What version of this mod are you using (should be 0.5.2.0) as well as what version of tModLoader (should be 2025.2.3.3)?

@Tails the Fox I appreciate the feedback. I have updated the description to include what TWAILA stands for. The reason for some of the discrepancies is that the forum page was made before tModLoader used the steam workshop and some things that can be done on the forum cannot be done on the workshop. I'm not as savvy at the steam workshop as I was when I used to forum.

@Angel Can you try this mod on its own and see if you still get lag? If the lag stops then I might need that mod list otherwise I'll have to see how I can make the mod more efficient for future releases. Also you "shouldn't" have to worry about MP since this is a client side mod, so it shouldn't affect multiplayer. Might be worth seeing if you friend also gets the lag on their side.

I should say it didn't actually fix *any* or all lol... Found out a bit later that it did still hitch a bit here and there, when running and the cursor was on the grass and trees. It was definitely nowhere near as bad or common, but still there every so often.

Can confirm, at least for SP, the first 2 things instantly fixed any hitching and slow downs. The UI image specifically stopped the slight hitching when I guess loading a new tile, and the UI Panel > UI Display one got rid of all the slow downs. Gonna leave the Features alone, and will hopefully still not see any lag. Just gotta wait till my buddy is available, because he lives in an entirely different country so if we have anything that potentially causes lag... Him being in the MP world usually adds like a multiplier effect to the lag XD Hopefully it won't though, will definitely post again if anything comes up. Thanks for the config recommends o/

I have a lot of mods installed, ngl lol. Tried this one before the What Mod Is This From mod which doesn't lag. Mind you, it also doesn't specifically tell you what every tile is under the cursor as well. I will have to give it a try with the config settings recommended, but the lag was from vanilla blocks strangely. Was building an NPC house out of snow bricks lolz. I could post the mod list, but I'm unsure if it'd fit in one post XD sorry.

@Angel Lag probably means there is a bug. Are you using any other mods?
In terms of config settings that might reduce lag you could try these:
"UI Image -> Use Item Textures: On"
"UI Panel -> UI Display -> Hide UI For Air: On" (Only works if UI Display: Automatic)
"Features -> Content Toggles" (This contains options to toggle all the content on the panel. Turning off the image might reduce the most lag)
There is also a keybind for turning on and off the UI if you want to manage it yourself.

Is there any config settings or setups to cut down on the lag it causes? I ask because I grabbed this to use with my buddy, and giving it a test in single player I'm noticing this ever so slight lag while I'm moving around and it loads a new tile under the cursor. Like I'm building NPC housing and I'm noticing this like... less than a second lag step. And I know in MP it'll get worse as lag does lol. So curious if there's any specific things I could disable or enable in the configs to hopefully cut down on that? If not I may have to only occasionally use this mod ^^;;

@XP16B Thanks for finding this issue. Hopefully they will have it fixed in their next update. In the mean time you can disable things in the mod config and see if that helps.

@Latina This is an issue with the "Chinese translation Patch for Thorium Mod" I have sent suggested changes to their code that should hopefully fix it in their next update.

i mean, they could maybe just merge, although i sincerely doubt that that's gonna happen. otherwise, doesn't seem very plausible that this mod would get a function that's already in another mod considering how small both of them already are

What version of TWAILA are you using? May as well send the logs. A similar issue was reported recently (https://github.com/Jadams505/Twaila/issues/11#issue-1835817252) , but should have been fixed with version 0.4.0.3. If you are still having the issue please let me know.

after a bit more testing it may not be the problem but the freeze only hapens in the map and there are black parts outside of the background on the edge of the screen

@MuRdeRx0v Blocks should already take priority over walls, but currently no there is not a way to change the priorities of what content shows on the panel. Your best option currently would be to use the "Next Context" and "Previous Context" keybinds or even use the "Cycle Context Mode" keybind to change to "Manual" mode which will lock the panel to only display tiles or walls or liquids etc. An update is in the works that will allow you prioritize and toggle content, but will be for 1.4.4
