On the temple map, you have to explore the eastern wall directly opposite from the entrance into the room where LeClerque is. Go past the open entrance into the temple area proper. Once you have defeated the first wave of lizards and go past the columns just past the open temple entrance, a secret door should open in the eastern wall and the second wave of lizards should spawn.

hi i need help on "repel the lizard without long rest" mission i cant find the second wave
lejes 23 Jul, 2023 @ 7:04pm
I finished this module and it was quite fun. Thank you for making it.

Thank you, Acadiantri. I found the secret door. I guess my party scoured the whole map except that small spot. Cheers!

So there are three groups of lizards, each group of which spawns in two waves. After you defeat the first group, there's a trigger to the east of the main temple entrance that opens a secret door to the east. When you open that secret door, the second group of six spawns. When you've killed those, open the small door in the revealed room to the north, and the third group of lizards will spawn (again, in two waves). Kill those seven lizards and approach the eastern wall of the room where the third group of lizards spawns, and Beau will spawn to talk with you.

I really like the encounters so far but I hit a wall. During the fight the lizards without a long rest quest, I fight 2 groups of lizards. Then when the two groups are dead, a dialogue box pops up stating Beau is fighting and he says go east or similar. After that, nothing happens. I talked to the questgiver, she says to save Beau. I fought a couple bugs behind the door in the temple where the second group of lizards spawned but nothing comes from it (other than the loot). If I long rest the quest just completes but nothing else changes. I can't find a way to go help Beau.

Hmmm, after you defeat the traitors and recover the Tear, when you enter the entry area, something should trigger. I'll double-check it.
sparttakus 20 Nov, 2022 @ 8:02am
I have a tear, but I don't see a LeClerque anywhere or a way out of this location.
Acadiantri  [author] 20 Nov, 2022 @ 7:53am
Need to find the Tear (near where the leader of the traitors died) and take it to LeClerque.
sparttakus 20 Nov, 2022 @ 7:16am
I killed the traitors and nothing happens, I still have this quest in my journal.
Was this fight the last?
Clownfish 15 Nov, 2022 @ 8:15am
Thank you! :winter2019happyyul:
Acadiantri  [author] 15 Nov, 2022 @ 7:57am
Yes. Starts at level 1.
Clownfish 15 Nov, 2022 @ 6:40am
What level characters / party is this adventure for?
Starting at level 1?
Acadiantri  [author] 9 Aug, 2022 @ 6:28am
Thank you for the kind words. Yeah, the AI for high level casters is disappointing. Nothing that I can do about that unfortunately. In Solasta, a second-level party can usually beat an Archmage. That would never happen in table-top with a competent DM.

I didn't realize the switch quest was handled prior to the sewers. That's my error. You do hit lvl 5 prior to the sewers (which as you pointed out is a huge difference from lvl 4). The sewer battles were manageable.

My only complaint is caster ai, but I don't believe that's even moddable. A late game lvl 9 or 10 CR caster just casting scorching rays is somewhat of a let down.

I completed the mod and its solid with challenging battles. There aren't a ton of magic items, but that's not necessarily bad, as magic item bloat messes with bounded accuracy.
Acadiantri  [author] 8 Aug, 2022 @ 1:21pm
That's not the main exp you're missing. Just a little from a DC check on the bushes near one of the shrines on the Jungle map. Also, you can get a fifth magic weapon before you reach the sewers if you play your dialogue cards with LeClerque at the trap door right.
Dwells in Basement 8 Aug, 2022 @ 10:40am
Someone (Morgan iirc) asked me if I located an animal figurine in the jungle and apparently I didn't according to the dialogue response. I'll go back and check if I missed something in the temple.
Acadiantri  [author] 8 Aug, 2022 @ 7:28am
You missed content in the Lady's Temple. (Probably in the Priest's Study.) You should be level 5 at the start of the sewers and have a 4th +1 weapon (random) (not that the weapons should be an issue given your party composition). As I am sure you know, the power gap between 4th level and 5th level is a large one. So the sewer fights are hard for a 5th level party, but as you say, over-tuned for a 4th level party.
Dwells in Basement 8 Aug, 2022 @ 7:00am
I love challenging content, but this goes beyond that. Spoilers below.

The sewer hag battles are over tuned imo. A level 4 party with 1 usable magic weapon (the other 2 were not usable/pertinent by my party) and no other pertinent magic items vs 3x trolls and a hag (CR 5 x 3 and a CR 6) or the other hag fight vs 3 hags and multiple mutated tiger drakes (CR 3 x 3 and CR 2 x 4 or so).

In the hag/troll encounter you can't rush the hag as the trolls gang up on you and you can fight the trolls in a bottle necked area of the sewer as the hag just nukes you down behind the 3x trolls. My party is a Barb (stone tank), Tinkerer, Sun Cleric and Haunted Soul Sorc.

The module looks like a quality mod, and up until the sewers the mod was challenging in a fun way, but the sewers are far too difficult.

Found the problem and fixed it. Thanks for pointing it out.
whatiflobstersruled 19 Jun, 2022 @ 1:47am
Couldn't re-trigger it, probably my PC's fault, but I really liked that everybody had personalities and stories to tell!
whatiflobstersruled 16 Jun, 2022 @ 9:57pm
Thank you, Acadiantri -- let me give it another try...
Acadiantri  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 6:25pm
Not in the main temple itself but across its entrance.
Acadiantri  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 6:25pm
Let's see if I can explain better. You first appear in the temple and meet Beau in the entrance. You then walk through an open door. You can go right into the room where Elizabeth is or left. If you go left, the main temple entrance is on your right (to the south). After the first wave, walk past that main temple entrance and keep going east. Should trigger. But don't go out to the entrance where you met Beau at the outset.
Does that help?
Acadiantri  [author] 16 Jun, 2022 @ 6:16pm
If you walk across the Temple to the side away from the room where Elizabeth is, the second wave should trigger automatically.
whatiflobstersruled 16 Jun, 2022 @ 5:44pm
I think I'm just stupid; can't find the opening to get to the 2nd wave of lizards, which is supposedly in the "East" of the Temple?

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to hear that you're enjoying it.

I still haven't finished this campaign, but I came here to praise it. Very good room design. My biggest difficulty were the Hags . I had to reduce difficulty altogether cause after 4-5 attempts I could not thing of a better strategy. After that, I returned to authentic mode and it is a blast. Kudos to Acadiantri for this.Soon, I will finish this.
Acadiantri  [author] 3 May, 2022 @ 3:40am
Thanks for the feedback.

I liked that you tried to give NPCs a story arc, it reminded a bit of the good old days of neverwinter nights' modules - which unfortunately are still unparalled in Solasta, and by far. I had mostly fun, but having enemies appear all around you gets old after a while, it stopped being surprising very soon. Still the fights were fun, a part for the blue lizard one.
Acadiantri  [author] 30 Apr, 2022 @ 8:02am
Thanks for the feedback. That is a ridiculously tough fight. I've debated watering it down since I first play-tested it (and died horribly). But I also enjoy it as a puzzle to solve. Figuring out how to beat it consistently. In any event, I hope that you enjoyed the module!
dudefurnowski 30 Apr, 2022 @ 7:11am
The fight with the blue lizard was bordering on insane, I had to cheat it by saving many times and positioning with the dust of disappearence to win it. The other fight were less brutal and more fun :)

Hey, I just subscribed to this on a whim and it's very smooth and well made so far! I was looking for a straightforward little starter adventure and it't filling that role very well. Thank you for it!
Silverquick 21 Apr, 2022 @ 5:57pm
Hey Acadiantri,
You might want to change your screenshots, they don't do your module justice. You can even use those ones I posted for you in Discord.
