@Colithiel: Yes, it is updated for the latest patch. You can always check in the launcher itself if a mod has a green checkmark or not.

Yeah, I want to create a private version for myself, since I want to use Storeslem's variants as the riders.

@TheGrandSirPiggy: I assume you want to create a private version for yourself which does not reskin the riders? In that case you need to delete all the variantmeshdefinitions that have 'rider' in their name as well as in the variants_tables all the lines where 'rider' is in the column for 'Variant Filename'. It has been a while since I last looked into that mod file but I guess that should work.

Could you please tell what should I delete in order to have only the mounts be reskinned?

Only the variant meshes stuff or do I need to delete something in the db portion as well?

@Lunatic Pandora: CA changed something regarding the UI elements of lords and heroes. That's why I had to updated a bunch of my mods with the latest patch. But regarding normal units this should not be the case.

Nah I had just noticed one of your mods has been updated recently, according to my mod manager, and I wondered if CA had changed the way graphical mods worked etc

Good to know that they don't need updating. Makes my life easier when sorting mods lol

@Lunatic Pandora: Usually they don't need an update because they are just graphical mods. Unless CA changes something fundamentally, the will work without any issues. I guess you ask because as updated date the 30.06.2022 is stated? This date only changes when I really change something in the mod file, which was not necessary since then. In the launcher they should also be displayed as updated!

@The Dark Ranger: In theory this would be possible, yes. But due to their dynamic movement set it is rather difficult and also not something which I would aim for.

@The Dark Ranger: If I remember correctly, the bones are sticked into their skin. So, removing them would just leave some empty holes instead.

Can you change the sabertusks to not have the bones sticking out of their skin that the ogres cut into them, maybe make them a little less mangy looking too?

@TheGrandSirPiggy: Actually, I never thought about different looks for rhinox and mournfangs. And while you are right that a more different look would be nice, I currently have no idea for this issue, sorry. :/

Regarding your second message: I took a look in the 'Yin-Yin, the Sea Dragon & Warriors of the Jade Sea' mod and it seems the author forgot one vanilla table which causes these issues. I contacted the author about this already. So, maybe you are lucky and it will be quickly updated, so that you can use both mods together again!

Weird incompatibility with Yin-Yin, the Sea Dragon & Warriors of the Jade Sea (Immortal Empires):

When used together, all mournfangs turn inot Rhinoxes and they lose their armored look the mod gives them.

That's probably way above the scope of this mod, but I wondered if you would be willing the change the actual model of the rhinoxes. I was and still am really disappointed that they are just morfangs with a different head, they aren't even larger.

I always thought that they were supposed to be much larger and bulkier than them, condiering their cost, tier and stats, but no, just a different headed mourfang, they even share the exact same animations.

@Jess: Sorry, but I am not a fan of creating multiple versions of my mods. Also, the new unit cards fit to the new visuals (especially for the mournfangs) and are well made. So, it makes no real sense to use the vanilla cards.

@Squaul: Any stat changes would cause incompatibilities with other balancing mods, so I usually try to avoid such things. Also, these units already have a pretty high armour in vanilla if I am not mistaken. ;)

Updated! - Made slight changes to the mod profile image and added the armour plates to the new RoR crusher unit from update 1.3 as well as a new unit card for it.

@GoatScream: No, this is currently not planned. Ironguts are only a tier 3 unit, so I think they actually look fine for that. They should not look too impressive.

If these mounts ever get an armored version, it will either be Regiments of Renown, or mount options for the Lords. At least, I HOPE the Ogre Lords ever get some basic mounts...

@Sal In Haiti: That would be definitely possible but that is not a sub mod. Changing things like entity number and health per unit require changes in some of the tables. And table edits usually mean incompatibilities with bigger mods like SFO, aside from possible balancing issues. I try to avoid such things as good as possible, sorry.

Is it possible to make a sub mod resizing the mournfang and rhinox cavalry? I feel like the rhinox cav should have larger entities and more health at the expense of having less models. Maybe even making the mournfangs a little smaller? They look the exact same size in game even though they shouldnt be.

@Kaisir: There is nothing really planned at the moment. Many people seem to be unsatisfied with the slaughtermasters but I have to admit that I also don't have any idea how to spice them up. I plan to test around with Greasus a bit but not sure when I will do so.

@TheGrandSirPiggy: I gave the rhinox riders the heavier ironfist variant. Aside from that, I don't want to make them too impressive - I will also create some custom units myself in the distant future, so I also need some assets left for that. :P

Maybe a middle ground, Frob? Give the mour riders some armor, but make them look less elite than the rhino riders. Or go even further and let the mour riders be ironguts and armor up the rhino riders even more, so they truly look unique and unstoppable :steammocking:

@TheGrandSirPiggy: Honestly, I did not want to change the riders in the beginning. But the contrast between the heavily armoured mournfangs and the vanilla ogres, who just wear some clothes, was too much. That's why I made those changes.
