Excellent puzzle, last move took me a minute

Very good map! Interestingly enough, the problem that needs solving in my latest map to date is very similar to this one, but with a different solution. And I gotta say, yours is way cleverer!

Fun map. Thumbs up.

Well designed puzzle!

This one had me stuck for a while, well done! Not too difficult to figure out what you're supposed to do (especially with the title) but could not figure out how to get the cube out without losing the bridge

Brilliant puzzle. I tried some pretty stupid things along the way, but got there in the end. Looking up a definition of ‘Abutment’ also helped, e.g. a point at which something abuts against something else X). Another one of yours added to my favourites :)

Having played about 1200 maps I sure get inspiration here and there. Sometimes we "incorporate" a move and it appears that we already met it by the past :) I really enjoyed Abyss (Jotta's map in general), but I didn't think of it to make this one (but Flutter , yes!)
lfairban 11 Mar, 2017 @ 7:27pm
All of a sudden, I ask myself, "Does this one use an Abyss bridge? Great chamber!

Nice. That's the exact intended solution, toncica :)

Awesome puzzle. Pretty sure it's the intended solution. blind run demo: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16159596/almi_abutment.dem

--- Wild Update ---
I hope there should be no problem anymore. Thanks a lot to you all great testers, your feedbacks have been really helpful.

{LINK REMOVED} Turns out I wasn't really misunderstanding, but I actually found an unintended solution.
The Sojourner 4 Jul, 2014 @ 1:57pm
Hmm... maybe I'll have to create a demo to clarify how I solved it....
Almisuifre  [author] 4 Jul, 2014 @ 7:28am
@p0rtalmaster : LPChip just copied the text I submitted, but english is not my motherlanguage. Taplonado's comment describe the exact idea of my puzzle. The alternate solution he found is correct with the "lightbeam" theme, because the cube must cross a portal mixing both lightbridge and funnel. But it doesn't use all elements. I'll work on it, but I'm now convinced I built this map too hastily :/
taplonaplo 4 Jul, 2014 @ 4:28am
@p0rtalmaster: This seems to be a logical sequence using all elements.

Get the cube to the cube button (i assume there's only one way of doing it). Use the pit on this side to fling up into the blue funnel, place a portal in it and use it to climb up to the lightbridge from the ground. Place the funnel so it pushes the cube so the polarity is reversed and it gets sucked in, then place the funnel at the lightbridge so you cross as well (lightbeam). Place the portal on the ground so the lightbridge blocks the cube in the funnel, then walk through it and go to the button turning off the fizzler.
The Sojourner 3 Jul, 2014 @ 9:08pm
Didn't need to use the hard light bridge with the excurison funnel using portals. Maybe I was confused about the conditions (written by LPChip) for a valid "lightbeam" test...

Since the demo of the intended solution became corrupt, can you tell me what mechanics the intended solution involved (I already solved this one btw)?
taplonaplo 3 Jul, 2014 @ 4:24am
Gave it another shot but bad news, i was doing it pretty suboptimally in the demo. I can just park the cube on the lightbridge without juggling on the floor, and execute the same sequence.
Almisuifre  [author] 3 Jul, 2014 @ 3:30am
@taplonaplo : Fixed. I tend to forget that move ! Nice solution anyway, but it breaks the basis of this P2LC challenge, so I had to fix it. Thanks for noticing it.
taplonaplo 2 Jul, 2014 @ 4:21pm
Didn't need the cube button, but it played out pretty nicely without it as well.

Good one. This clarifies the rules of the "lightbeam" challenge; I was a bit confused before.
Almisuifre  [author] 2 Jul, 2014 @ 10:30am
@cyhborg : it seems that I didn't beta-tested it enought. Fixed now, thanks !

@Requiemsoul : intended solution, well done :)
Requiemsoul 2 Jul, 2014 @ 9:35am
Awesome update: My new demo.

Not sure if intended:

I first place the cube as shown using the tractor beam (first reverse polarity, feed cube into funnel , create new portal, then change to normal polarity, then dropping the cube), so that I have plenty of time to walk to the button that turns off the fizzler .
Almisuifre  [author] 2 Jul, 2014 @ 8:30am
Many thanks Requiemsoul. It's now fixed, and I also prevented another shortcut. I think the solution requires the intended way now :)
Requiemsoul 2 Jul, 2014 @ 7:59am
Superb, clever and fun chamber as allways. Well done, almisuifre.

I recorded a demo. Maybe.... the last part is not intended.
