I've checked every faction on the map, and none want to buy mounted heads. Is this intended - they're not tradeable?

I'm here to request what many others have already requested – removing animal heads' food/nutritional properties.

I've just had a bumper crop event from More Faction Interaction where a faction base gifted me 334 GAZELLE HEADS as a food reward.

I really like the mod idea. But I dont really think that obtaining head when butchering creature is a necessary step. I think it would be better just to use whole animal for creating an art piece. This would balance the mod, requiring an impactful choise whether to use animal body for food+leather or for art, and reduce unnecessary entity such as an animal head from the game.

Heads up if you use leather optimization.

Leather Optimization compresses leathers into a smaller number of varieties and therefore, makes some of these un-buildable without editing with QOL. If you know how to use QOL, this shouldnt be much of an issue for you. Only a small number become un-buildable. Such as Thrumbo and Elephant.

Just a friendly suggestion, make the heads not a food ingredient? I just finished butchering, and the head was placed down. I had to run off and chop a little more wood so I could mount the head. Came back to an unpleasant surprise that the head was used to create a Simple Meal. It wasn't even Lavish! Just a simple one!

Other than that, love the idea of mounting trophies in my lodge.

When it comes to the issue with Medieval Overhaul, would a crafting recipe made from just the hides themselves work perhaps? That gives the option of having the mounted heads as well as costing materials that will be obtainable. Just a thought though.

Unfortunately so. I'm looking into it but I'm not optimistic that I can do anything if you want to retain the ability for animals to drop hides. Apologies.

I'd need a texture of just the head, and then a south view and east/west view with the mount. So three files.

What styles of art do you need to add new animals? It looks like you would need two files for the new animal; one with and one without the wood mount?

As I said above, I'd like to, but artwork for the trophies need to be created, and it's time-consuming. I'm juggling a few things at the moment but I'd like to work back on this, yes. A blank trophy is included with the mod if anyone wants to chip in some art.
