Dear Dev: Can you please update the workshop page to reflect the information presented on the sub's in-game info card? The numbers don't line up.

As a personal aside; I don't think it needs to be locked to T-3, but that's just me.

I really hope that Renko plans on updating all the subs. His are my favorite by far, but only the Helvegen is really usable due to the age of the older subs and the more recent updates. I'm still holding out hope that I'll see new subs someday from him.

After two years of not playing Baro, I'm back. I will try to update this sub ! (or I will make a new version of it).

FYI : The reactor is 100% vanilla, is just a heavily, heavily modified version of an old autoreactor (which dont work today if I understood correctly)

The constant reactor alarm is related to the Hazardous Reactors mod, and given the complexity of this reactor, the original author is probably the one who is going to have to troubleshoot and fix it.

The aesthetics on this sub are amazing, and it's a really tight design. Like all of Renko/Sombra's work, it's among the best of the best.

There's one serious flaw in this one, though, and it starts to gnaw at you, especially single-player. That's the airlock. There's only one airlock, and it's slow and bot-unfriendly. I understand that's a purposeful downside to balance out other good features of the sub, but here's the problem:

Go into the airlock with a bot on follow. Stand next to him. Good. Press the button to open the bottom hatch so you can go outside. Water rushes in, slamming both you and the bot up against the top. The bot then always activates the upper override button (apparently reaching through the closed door), opening the top hatch and closing the bottom one. You then have to climb back up out of the airlock, turn that button off, then climb back down and try again.

Sometimes you can get away with it, but the real consequence is you must always go out one at a time so the bot doesn't keep trolling you by slamming the door on you as you try to exit. You go outside on your own, put your character on don't-move, then switch control and have your bot follow you.

Yeah, you can work around it, but it becomes tedious, and the slowness of it compounds it.

(If it was just slow and that's it, I wouldn't complain -- but the bot problem makes it extra tedious.)

In the end, I'm not an advocate of anti-ergonomics as a balancing mechanism. I'd love to see the airlock problem fixed in this one.

Very cosy submarine, really well made. But a little update would be welcome. For instance, railgun racks have too many torpedoes I assume, they flicker. Submarine is to good to be a starter t1, make it at least t2 and double the price. You have locks in medbay and command room, but not armoury?

Anyway, great ship.

The autoreactor commands got stuck because we transitioned out of the level while it was calibrating the probe. Is there anyway to reset it to get it to function again?

Really great sub, I like the deployable external storage. I'm trying to figure out how to make something similar on my own sub, how did you do it? It looks like in the editor you defined it as a shuttle/drone? Is it possible also to make say other objects deployable? (ie lower the mechanical room outside or a platform for people to step in and then the platform raised to bring them in, is something like that even possible?)

I love this ship (especially the reactor, gives more stuff to do for the crew), but I've noticed, that the ship can't draw any power from stations (probably because the docking hatch power isn't connected to any junction boxes.)
Is this on purpose or a simple mistake?

I also have the same issues with the reactor as Emu, it does seem a little too much. Especially when accelerating the sub, the reactor always gets a big hit and everything blinks for a second or two with the nav terminal showing the message that there isn't enough power before the reactor adapts, which gets really frustrating, even when i'm calibrating very frequently (it asks for calibration more often than i'd like to as well)

@Renko odd, it genuinely feels like more. im not sure what it is but im having to input one of the commands every 2-3, and then it takes a mighty long time for it to fix itself

@Emu : On average, you have to enter 2 commands each 7/10 minutes to not feel any problem. I don't think it is that much of a hassle.

The autoreactor is an interesting concept
In theory it seems like a fun idea, you get the benefits of an autoreactor but with a twist.
I understand the motivation behind it but i sometimes wonder about how practical it is
in practice its hard to manage constantly mashing a bunch of commands into the reactor while lets say, a monster attacks your sub. It also takes a substancial amount of time for the reactor to calibrate whatever turbine or probe is out of wack
Again, the concept is a pretty creative one, i just personally feel it should be a bit less of a hassle.

I'm doing a new version, with this bug fixed yeah, but it isnt updated yet (should be by tomorrow I think). No idea about EK mods or Armaments, but it should work as well as any vanilla sub, I guess

no idea, worked fine for my first mission, then the second, i rolled up to a wreck and hit the button and it started just twitching and jittering o.o...didnt take any damage or anything. gets fixed on docking but still a bit annoying...also if its not up, cargo missions with any cargo on it will fail apparently XD
