make it where, bandages don't work instantly. they take a little time to actually stop the bleeding and pain, because its realistic PLUS its just common sense!

"om Adderall to Oxycontin.....considering how easily you can micromanage your mood and exhaustion with them" What is wrong with people lol this is why the world is dying.

For anyone wondering about suturing, the author only has a message about suturing. There are no recipes for practicing suturing or context menu option code or GiveXp code for it. It simply appears to be a planned feature which hasn't been implemented.

@tobyfox2002 might not be exactly as polished as any one of us would like, but "Chemical Fascination" includes a bunch of different meds, from Adderall to Oxycontin. doesn't really go any further than that, which is a shame - considering how easily you can micromanage your mood and exhaustion with them i'd like to see more in-depth stuff; addiction, withdrawals, tolerance, overdose, side effects, et cetera.

the original mod author took it down for whatever reason, but a guy on reddit was kind enough to upload his own tweaked version on MEGA, and I've been using that in multiplayer no problem (the only issue is everyone has to install it manually, but that's not much of a hassle)

maybe one day we could see a supermod combining the best parts of Chemical Fascination, Immersive Medicine, Better First Aid and maybe some others... a man can dream.

have a good one

Humm, I'm not able to suture either despite having all the needed items. Also, for some reason I used to be able to interact with the dissect/bandage when they were on the ground, now I have to pick them up and I can perform the operations while the body is in my inventory. But the suture option still doesn't seem to be available. Love the mod so far! It definitely helps with first aid advancement. Thanks for the work you did!

i would like a better broken bone mod because most fractures last about 6 months to heal id it should feel like a big disadvantage to jump out the 2nd story window not just a health drop.

@David Hogins, sorry for the late response, but do you also had the suture needle holder?(that´s vanilla , and also you need thread)
David Hogins 23 Jul, 2022 @ 5:13am
I can't suture zombies, im lv 6 first aid and i have the suture needle, do i need something else?

@Puddings I 100% agree. As someone who uses a handfuls of pain killers in real life for... medical reasons. I think it would also be nice add various types of pain killers to the game, Norco, Fent, Ace, Ibupro, etc. Not only that, but in the ability to use injected versions, topical versions and perhaps even IV versions.

Not only that but with higher first aid you gain more benefit from using them on yourself as well as better dose administration when used on others. Dealing with withdrawls, opioid tolerance and drug rotation to manage withdrawls.

When dealing with effects besides pain, such as psychological conditions. All opioids should reduce stress and reduce bordom. With withdrawl increasing all those moodles.

@Puddings Honestly, if the loss is 100 for infected blood you better be going around naked in the game or only getting clothes from the stores. you wash yourself and your clothes why is it different from bandages?
Puddings 29 Apr, 2022 @ 6:55am
the in-game meds more*
Puddings 29 Apr, 2022 @ 6:55am
"Painkillers" is stupid too. It can be renamed to Tylenol/acetaminophen, or add multiple pain killers such as codeine, percocets, heroin, fentanyl, etc. Ibuprofen too.
Puddings 29 Apr, 2022 @ 6:52am
Well up to you it's your mod, but if you don't put it to 100% lost chance (due to infected blood), then I will uninstall. And I think the latter part is unnecessary. Why not just start making the in-game mods more realistic? For example "sleeping pills" is vague and generic. It can be renamed to ambien/zolpidem - either pick brand names or stick to the actual names. I despise branding/marketing/brands so I'd pick the latter.

@Puddings, I've been thinking about there being a chance of sterilized bandages being lost on use. Perhaps a 50 percent chance?

I'm currently working on a stage 3 that requires you to find a full medical outfit and suture needle and thread. I'm thinking of also increasing the time it takes to do things, since I think it is slightly on the low side
Puddings 28 Apr, 2022 @ 3:16pm
Can you make the bandages so that they're *lost* to infected blood and is unwashable? Feel like that should balance things.
EmberD 28 Apr, 2022 @ 3:06am
There are mod for that already. I think this should better blood as main health. I doubt that someone will die in three hours from a scratch or laceration
Jerrbear616  [author] 28 Apr, 2022 @ 1:09am
@Quint, that's a good point, I was thinking from more of a gameplay perspective that it would be easier to get a knife first, then move on to sterilized bandages.

Perhaps I could make the first stage just regular bandages, the second stage scalpel only (no knives)

I'm thinking that Stage 3 could be stitching and 4 splinting. I was thinking about making a requirement to find medical gear (a mask, scrubs, medical cap) but I think it would be better to leave that to the 'Dressed for the job' mod
EmberD 27 Apr, 2022 @ 10:11am
mmm noice
Quint ¤ ς ¤ 27 Apr, 2022 @ 9:25am
think you should switch stage one and two? why would you practise autopsy skills for first aid. then move onto simple bandaging of wounds?
