Light in this case removes the element of surprise, therefore it doesn't make sense for it to exist on this creature. It is as if a hunter has an inverted camouflage pattern with respect to the environment in which he is located.

This mod makes the creature retain the pure essence of the original barnacle.

How does it look unnatural?

@that snark guy In my humble opinion I do believe it's too hand-holdy this late in the game, as barnacles were also meant to blend into the environment partially. The fact that it's supposed to be bioluminescence is obvious, but it's still very unnatural looking both above and below the surface. They're often placed in bulks as well, cramming up a lot of contrast into the screen. It is ultimately preference, which is why modding and workshop support is such a wonderful thing.

The beneathacle's glow isn't unnatural. It's just bioluminescence. The glow was most likely added to the beneathacle's model so it's easier for players to see them in the water, thus making things less frustrating.

I think the reason why the Beneathacles have a glow effect in them is to alert the Player of their presence so they don't by mistake get grabbed out of nowhere.

Addon is still good!

Yeah, lights didn't make sense at all on those barnacles. Thanks for the "fix".
