@Alexander Glad to hear that the guy is doing it ironically and doesn't actually believe the things he says. I think I've regained faith in humanity.

Not perfect, but not bad either as a first try. Keep it up and you'll be making great maps in no time.

Atmospheric, alluring, poignant. These are the words that come to mind whilst reviewing yet another workshop release from the illustrious, well renowned content creator BIJX.

At first glance, this quaint Caribbean island looks like just another slice of paradise. But as I'm making my way through the thick Caribbean island brush, the hairs on the back of my neck begin to stand up as I get that all too recognizable feeling of being watched. Gritting my teeth, I push on through the anxiety.

Suddenly, the jungle opens up and I find myself standing in frontst of an old temple, the overgrown slabs of stone towering above me. As I admire the structure with equal parts curiosity and fear, a voice in the back of mind reminds me that it's time to move on, and rather quickly at that.

I spend the rest of the day wandering around the island, attempting to discover the many mysteries it seems to hold just an arm's length away you at any moment.

An ancient temple, a lost shipwreck, scattered bunkers and outposts. What does it all mean? Perhaps in some ways I'm reminded of the consistent secularization of the 21st century world and the subsequent Death of God, to borrow a term from Nietzsche. Or, as Heidegger put the problem, "If God as the supra sensory ground and goal of all reality is dead if the supra sensory world of the ideas has suffered the loss of its obligatory and above it its vitalizing and upbuilding power, then nothing more remains to which man can cling and by which he can orient himself.

Deep in thought, I sink back into my chair. Less a terrain and more a sophisticated work of art, this magnum opus of a masterpiece raised difficult philosophical questions that most creators in the community have neither the ability, nor, quite frankly, the bravery to face. Needless to say, Isle Fortuna captured my imagination like no other.

9.5/10
