I feel like the economy skeleton factory should have robotics benches, repair beds, steel refineries, etc. Considering it's where economy skeletons are presumably made

May I create an NPC mod with this mod? A new boss character like Bugmaster who has a bunch of economy skeletons as his minions. His dialogue with everyone except beep is just incoherent screaming, but to Beep he has coherent and understandable dialogue about his evil plan to rebuild the First Empire with economy skeletons.

@Tarsis i have completed my formal education and ive almost finished another education in CNC Machining, i should be done in June. Ive been playing more Kenshi recently and been brainstorming some ideas around regarding these mods. ^^

Hear me out, if this mod is still being developed it would be funny if the economy skeleton rebels screamed like cat-lon/fogmen when they attacked. And follow Skeletons around like how Prince traders follow you around in hive villages. Would be pretty cool

@rrandomHazard That is a very solid point, although what i had in mind is that the economy skeletons in themselves are not the same as normal skeleton. I think the original skeletons would mostly view these robots and brainless ants rather than a truly independent skeleton kin. So they would most likely still be depressed because while these guys are running around, they are mostly hiveminded like the Hive and doesn't have necessarily have the ability to think for themselves.... with the exception of some rogue economy skeletons...

yeah sometimes they fall off at -10 sometimes they don't tho seems like reloading does do the trick but idk kinda scared to put them into combat

I have a gang of these mass producing repair kits, it got me so rich I stopped thinking and sent one of them to answer prayer day. Promptly abandoned base. Simply amazing.

I found an entire town unlabeled on the map that say its belongs to the vendor in the north. 2 buildings are occupied by traders but otherwise the town is empty with most buildings being for sale. Im wondering if this is intentional for the mod or if there is some mod conflict on my end causing this?

...Just like the Limb based skeletons, the design is unique and represents the Economy limbs PERFECTLY: A Bucket Head, Simple eyes, thin-bare minimum body... fits correctly with the 3 finger hands AND the legs that don't have feet

The dialogue to buy them in-store still shows up, although by this point they're now in a cage in my base. Considering they're now my prisoners, I would prefer to recruit them for free, though if I am desperate for more members, buying them's still an option

Have you tried "buy slave to join team"
or "Playre talk to me to join team"?

They both used to work of a fashion, but it's been a long time since I've used them.

Using this alongside "Reprogrammable Skeletons" and trying to 'recruit' the skeleton slaves I've liberated from their hiver oppressors in a skeleton-only run, but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know of a patch mod for this, or for Recruitable Prisoners which I also have?

If you leave the region entirely (all characters) and go another region farther away, then save/load and return, do they not respawn for you?

@OAKRAH I think they don't replenish because they are not items and if slaves in slave shops do replenish they still won't, because if you have talk with THEM, not the seller, this makes it count a you getting any other guy in your party and not buying them.:beeped:

one way to reconcile the lore unfriendlyness might be claiming that they have proper skeleton brains/circuitry which would properly maddening for a skeleton.

Barely sentient. They suck at almost everything. Like they took a conglomeration of parts and stuck them together, then squeezed a mutated hiver brain in it.

Also, just pointing out that these skeletons being sentient isn't very lore friendly as the (main) reason why most skeletons are depressed is that they don't know how to make any more sentient skeletons and they're basically in danger of extinction

@The Subarashii One - I just rediscovered a mod that would greatly expand the functionality of the Economy Skeletons that you might want to either incorporate into your mod or recommend to people who use it. It's called Shirts For All by CamelSpyd3r, and I initially overlooked it because I thought it was merely another shirt slot unlock mod. This one actually expands the mesh on default shirt-slot items so they can be worn by Hivers and Skeletons, rather than making them look like they got hit by a plastic grocery bag on a windy day.

I love these guys, but thought it would be really funny if it all ended up being just a PR stunt by the western hive to make the rest of the world thing they made sentient skeletons, and they just end up being worker drones wearing metal shells and a grog can on their head! :steamfacepalm:
