I will try to grind it down and raise it by one block, now only the head of the turret sticks out above the ground. In the settings I only changed it to aim at offensive subsystems, but when I change aim at anything it also waits for the target to be selected.
I'll remove it and add it, we'll see if it helps :)

The Iron Maiden should target on its own without user input. Have you tried grinding it all the way down and replacing it? Also make sure you don't have some weird manual setting in the control panel on it

I guess I expressed myself wrong, the point is that I only have the TIO package. And my beautiful Iron Maiden doesn't track the target itself, it only fires when it marks the target from the control seat or cockpit.
Someone below wrote that he had a similar problem, I assumed that he gave up TIO and only turned on Iron Maaiden separately.
Now I don't know if my world, WC or TIO is not working properly. Certainly the small Vulcans and XMA-41 work as they should.

The TIO pack already contains this weapon. It contains all the weapons I have and adding the separate versions/uploads of each weapon will cause things to break since you are duplicating IDs.

What does it mean? "cant have TIO and iron maiden active at the same time". I noticed that my Iron Maiden doesn't track the target itself, you have to select the target to activate it (I thought there was something wrong with my world or WC)
Do I have to give up the package for this turret to work properly?

The Iron Maiden worked initially in my game with my buddies now it refuses to shoot lock on to targets etc one of my buddies proposed the problem being with weaponcore no longer existing is there a fix for this?

the M42 is also quiet but the M1 thunderbolt gun and the SG sam guns are loud. is it perhaps a file error?

Having a problem with the Iron Maiden, its turret us moving extremely slow. Took too long to aim at a target and left its range (Set to 2500m) before it got anywhere close to lining up. Turned it off and back on, checked power consumption, ammo, all were good. Just rotated at a snails pace.

VXM missiles should go after any enemy within range. Its possible that non dedicated servers are funky. You could try testing it in a SP world with just weaponcore and my weapons

Ok thanks, I must be doing something else wrong with weaponcore or there's a conflict. The VXM missiles are also not correctly tracking and just spinning in space.

As long as the weapon is on regardless of how it visually looks it should fire at any enemy target within range

The retracting animation can desync with sim speed drops. While it may visually mess up for some people the weapon itself should still function without issue. So while the desync is known the never firing/having a target doesn't sound right.

Hi. Are there any known issues with using this on a none dedicated server? We are having issues where the gun appears to be raised or lowered differently for different people and almost never firing/having a target (presumably because of some status conflict).

Probably because for this weapon after 800m the sound becomes a distant shot. My weapons are technically bigger then most weapons out there but the actual weapon itself outside of its base isn't overly huge and powerful like cannons from northwind. Though I do have some cannons coming out fairly soon

i really wanna like your mods man but the sounds are a little dull after 200m you cant even hear em if you play around with northwinds weapons and mexpex they have sounds down to a t it might seem like a what ever issue but with the size of some of these guns you should be able to hear em up to 1 km away lol

This thing is a lot of fun! I'm using two of them to take out the little drones spawned by various MES faction bases. There are plenty of other weapons out there that do a ton of damage against large grids, I like this one the way it is. Well done!

Do not use the pack and separate uploads of my weapons in the same world. This will duplicate the IDs and parts and cause a crash. This is why you get this

Hey Killerbee, just a heads up your weapon is causing CoreSystem crashes, at least for me.

Debug.log gives me this:

yeah it worked just a classic SE bug, but i got one more thing the iron maiden leaves a gap when surrounded by armor blocks and isnt flush its thin but noticeable

Probably gonna be shifting stats around in the next major update. Though overall it trades damage for it’s incredible range of motion and range compared to other weapons

i dont know why but they dont want to work for me, ill keep them in my favorites tho because ill be trying them again on my home pc once ive got some spare time. could be conflicting mods or something. the models look awesome!

Nukeguard has a mod for retractable MCRN PDCs. Not sure if it's up to scratch or integrated into survival (Haven't gotten there yet), But I have them on my Tachi and they work perfectly.

Well I probably won’t make my own expanse one’s since lynx made some already. I may add another pdc at some point though but probably not anytime soon as I’m working on other weapons rn

Lynx did a really nice job on the visuals with his Avenger & Nariman series, I've always pictured something like that, just retractable like your Iron Maiden

Does it look like a sorter in the control panel? If so you have done something wrong. Make sure you don't have the weapon pack and the separate upload installed at the same time

I looked up a weaponcore guide i am still very confused the only options it shows for the weapons is to turn it on show it in the terminal show it in the in the inventory screen show it in the toolbar config rename it show it on my hud drain all and then the filter area

Yeah that’s kind of a weird issue. You could try loading it separately into a world and seeing if it works
