This'd probably work best as a Halloween only cosmetic, but I'd be perfectly happy seeing it in the game year-round. Especially compared to some of the wackiness that Pyro can have on their head already.

Compare to other new cosmetics in the workshop at least this one looks good and in my opinion it fits tf2 and pyro aswell. Just my opinion

I’m sorry to disappoint you, but not really. We were aware of this post when creating the item, but decided to keep going.
First of all it was a fun project that was created mostly to see how well we could recreate Vader’s helmet in TF2’s style, and I think we nailed it.
Secondly, valve already added items that wouldn’t be added earlier due to copyright (Mario hat, Snowtrooper set or the Yoda ears), knowing this specific blog post was written nearly a decade ago.

God this looks fun, I'd love to have a set based off of this, but I don't think it will be added because of copyright. If anything has come out of this, though, you've really proven your modeling talent! I look forward to other things you make.

Calm down guys, this helmet is more of a parody of vader than a 1:1. It looks almost nothing like vader and more like Spaceballs.

I remember when someone submitted a blatant mario hat for engineer in 2012, a year before valve even wrote that article, when requirements were even more strict.

and then they went back and added the item in 2017. the same year they added a stormtrooper set for medic. a year later, they added an anime reference item set for heavy.

in 2015 they added a literal lightsaber for scout.

times have changed, and if you don't like it, you only have valve to blame. the guidelines are a decade old. they simply do not refer to those guidelines at all anymore. If you look at what they accept, I don't know how you could come to any other conclusion. They will go back and pick whatever they want.
