update?
hwalker145 27 Feb @ 2:47pm
Does anyone know how to make this work in 1.37? Foster trade centers either does not develop or does report provinces it develops...
Asmodeus 18 Jun, 2024 @ 2:02pm
Amazing mod! Makes trade more engaging. Please update for anbennar.
DoubleCheeseVonHabsburg 8 May, 2024 @ 8:14pm
foster seems not working
Skullivan 6 May, 2024 @ 10:43am
amazing mod man, makes going "trade tall" so fun! Please update.
Hoping Machine 21 Feb, 2024 @ 4:55pm
Heads-up, the Cannorian trade setup will be changed on the next Steam release.
ScH 24 Jan, 2024 @ 5:14am
Yeah, if you're still around @ItsBenter and have intentions of updating the mod, what Catoscar mentioned is great.
Catoscar 16 Dec, 2023 @ 10:21pm
Yes, the on_action files no longer overwrite each other, so you can add an on_action to any of the existing on_actions and it won't have any compatibility issues. Should dramatically improve performance of any mods you have that otherwise utilize things like triggered province modifiers and the like. I can send you an example on discord if you ping me from the expanded mods server.
ItsBenter  [author] 3 Dec, 2023 @ 4:14am
@BOYZANTION, it's possible. I don't play with Voltaire's nightmare so I can't really say, but I can see how it could lead to that.

@Catoscar, it seems like there's update and scriptable GUI is a thing. Do they do something to make on_action more compatible. Iirc I just try to avoid stuff that might led to incompatibility.
Catoscar 27 Nov, 2023 @ 1:06pm
Hey Benter, have you considered moving the triggered modifiers of this mod to on_action events instead for performance reasons?
Calvin J. Candie 4 Oct, 2023 @ 1:24pm
This mod sees to not be working unless I am missing something. Like i get the set up event but no trade hub spanws anywhere. Am I missing something? is there like other requirements? Your other mod with large regional city works fine and the local modifer spawns just fine in the first day.
BOYZANTIUM 1 Oct, 2023 @ 8:42pm
is there any chance that this might be partly responsible for unbalancing with voltaire's nightmare (through no fault of your own)? i've noticed that most AI have ridiculous amounts of gold and i think it might be because of the high density of provinces + nodes. just asking for the sake of my own personal rebalancing edits, i love using this mod
Huitzi0 7 Aug, 2023 @ 10:31am
Does this work for Victorum?
ItsBenter  [author] 7 Jul, 2023 @ 12:04am
It should work
Does Voltaire's nightmare work without a coms patch for this?
@ItsBenter

Mod works great with Anbennar =)
ItsBenter  [author] 22 Apr, 2023 @ 4:57am
@Silver Knight, hope you'll have a nice campaign
Thanks for updating this for Anbennar
ItsBenter  [author] 16 Apr, 2023 @ 1:59am
@Aquaninja, just added dependency for Anbennar, I think it should at least make the decision and event appear when used with Anbennar.

@makkid, I'm not sure if there are some changes but I just exported it over. Now this mod should have the same version of Third Odyssey current trade node setup.
makkid1 19 Feb, 2023 @ 10:43pm
Third Odyssey updated recently and its trade map was overhauled in the update. will this mod be updated to be compatible with it or will it still work with it as is?
Aquaninja 18 Nov, 2022 @ 3:06pm
I don't know why or how, but with the new Anbennar update, both this mod and Large City and Largest City don't work. The menu doesn't pop-up at the beginning nor is there the decision. But it works on the bitbucket version from a few days ago.
ItsBenter  [author] 25 Oct, 2022 @ 6:12am
Yep I forgot to add Anbennar for the Foster Trade Centers scripted effect. That should be fixed in latest update.
甜酵母 22 Oct, 2022 @ 9:35pm
If Anbennar chooses other options, Foster Trade Centers will operate normally, while choosing Anbennar will lead to the failure of Foster Trade Centers. But the crash problem did work out. Play Anbennar and choose other options.
ItsBenter  [author] 22 Oct, 2022 @ 2:28am
@甜酵母, I think I've figured the issue. By any chance do u encounter the crash while in trade map mode? Also if u used Discord it'll great if we could move the discussion there. My handle is itsbenter#7425
甜酵母 21 Oct, 2022 @ 11:45pm
The main difference between bitbucket and steam version is 1.33, bitbucket is 1.34.4Anbennar, the official version 1.34.4Anbennar will be released in late November.
甜酵母 21 Oct, 2022 @ 11:42pm
Both the original and Anbennar were tested. The icon of Foster Trade Centers is not activated in Anbennar, and the development level worldwide is also 000.Then I tested the original with the fix icon for Foster Trade Centers activation, but the game crashed after a while while I was waiting for the growth of Foster Trade Centers (using Venice), I guess it was the growth of Foster Trade Centers that led to the collapse of the game.
ItsBenter  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 11:28pm
@甜酵母, Hi there, yes I haven't playtest Anbennar itself what's the different between the bitbucket and the steam version especially?

Do u happen to notice anything specific prior to the crash? I recall adding some last minute change to Regional Trade Hub after my play test (to address oversight on foster trade hub). So I highly suspect those are the cause of the issue.
甜酵母 21 Oct, 2022 @ 10:18pm
甜酵母 21 Oct, 2022 @ 10:16pm
Foster Trade Centers is defunct in Anbennar. At the same time, both the original and Anbennar are prone to crashes.(1.34.4)

I enabled both Large City and Largest City.:steambored:
ItsBenter  [author] 13 Oct, 2022 @ 4:25pm
@Cuetlachtli I'll add Anbennar compatibility on next update and tweak the loop that check the trade nodes.
Cuetlachtli 13 Oct, 2022 @ 1:47pm
When is a regional trade hub supposed to switch to a new province? As in what are the conditions? I thought it was simply having more tradepower than that province which is what triggered the event for me a few times, but now I am havinga hard time as the my province has ~10 more trade power than theirs and the event still isn't happening. I am using it with Anbennar, and it's a city in the "Europe"-like region so it's weird, I do see the events popping up for other trade regions so I don't know why it won't in mine and now I am having negative events because of it which are a good feature but not when I don't know what I am supposed to do...
ItsBenter  [author] 9 Oct, 2022 @ 3:03am
@Bolty218 yep, this mod include an event that create CoT. on CoT-less Regional Trade Hub. To think about it, that event should be mentioned in the mod description and should be optional.
Bolty218 8 Oct, 2022 @ 7:45pm
does this mod create centers of trade if the Regional Trade Hub is in a province that has no CoT?
甜酵母 16 Sep, 2022 @ 7:14am
@ItsBenter In the Anbennar New Continental trade area,Torn Sea,Ruined Sea,Effelai,No regional trade hubs emerged in the three Subcontinent.Even when colonization was no longer controlled by indigenous states there were no regional trade hub,I also do not know why these trade zones do not produce regional trade hubs.Elsewhere, it works fine.:coffee:
ItsBenter  [author] 16 Sep, 2022 @ 5:35am
@甜酵母 I'm not very familiar with Anbennar, but I'd like to know what might be the issue. When "Other" is selected, the hidden event should check for every province that:
1. Considered a city (not an unfinished colony)
2. Not owned by native tribes.

Is there any province in those New World's trade nodes in Anbennar that fulfill those conditions on your game?
甜酵母 16 Sep, 2022 @ 2:20am
There are some Trade areas in Anbennar's New World that cannot trigger Regional Trade Hub.:coffee:
ItsBenter  [author] 2 Jul, 2022 @ 9:26pm
@Dark as Silver @Stargazer
The difficulty to overtake the Regional Trade Hub position is intentional. I think I can see the modifier get a minor debuff, but else I like to keep current design.

That said you can navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\2806187125\common\event_modifiers\RTH_modifiers.txt to change "RTH_regional_trade_hub_modifier" to one you prefer better. The list of modifiers is there in EU4 wiki.

Currently, I am working on covert action and peace treaty that can affect province trade power but I haven't really get it right. They should help to overtake a Regional Trade Hub.
de Grizz 30 Jun, 2022 @ 1:05pm
Trade Hub have one big issue, its bonuses so huge that even more powerfull province, with fullstacked trade buildings and bonuses cant compete tradepower of Hub one. This mean that most tradepowered prov at game start grab all Hubs and never change mostly. I think instaed add raw trade power, better Hub give other trade bonuses like trade value or samething else.
][G][Dark as Sliver 28 Jun, 2022 @ 3:57am
Regional Trade hub seems too powerful for factions to really fight over like you could for Largest City, it only really seems to change hands when someone conquers it and the centre of trade downgrades.
ItsBenter  [author] 22 May, 2022 @ 3:03am
@Draxxilion haven't try it myself, but if you chose 'Other' in Active Trade Node option I think the mod should work.
Draxxilion 20 May, 2022 @ 11:30am
Does this work with Anbennar?
ItsBenter  [author] 18 May, 2022 @ 6:24am
@camanic71 having a province that's dominating its trade node is a main idea of this mod. That said, I can see the trade power bonus might be too op.

@victorbernatas thanks for pointing it out, there should be a way to overtake status as Regional Trade Hub. War is definitely an option, I think diplomacy and maybe espionage should also be viable options as well. I appreciate the feedback and will look into it.

Do you have suggestion on how to better balance the mod features?
victorbernatas 17 May, 2022 @ 5:39pm
That would go well outside the scope of your mode, but it would be great to have a "Destroy Port" CB on anyone with the regional trade center of your node. Like in my scenario, I could have declared on England, and with enough war score, could have forcibly downgraded London to a level 1 port + given it trade power debuffs that'd last until the end of the truce (time during which you also wouldn't be able to re-upgrade your port).
victorbernatas 17 May, 2022 @ 5:39pm
Very cool mod, obviously pairs really well with the Large City and Largest City. They both really suit my play style. I do think they might need some balancing though.

Regarding the regional trade center, you can be in a trade node where a city has both a port and natural harbor. Now with the added "regional trade hub" buff, it's virtually impossible to ever overtake it. I played in Flanders, spawned facetting in Antwerpen, made it a World Port, used the trade power edict and was still just below London. Once England upgraded London to World port, it was over, no modifier in the game would allow me to ever have more trade power in one of my cities.
camanic71 16 May, 2022 @ 1:00pm
Feels like this may lead to trade power spiralling as the province with the most trade power gets extra trade power. Maybe tone down the trade power and give it trade efficiency or tax/goods produced?
ItsBenter  [author] 16 May, 2022 @ 5:49am
That's an oversight, I'll exclude subjects' provinces for the events. Thanks for telling me about it!
C1CK 15 May, 2022 @ 6:48pm
Not sure if it's intended to work the way it does, but I don't think the event for not owning the regional centre in a node you're dominant in (RTH_flavor_events.2) should be firing on your own colonies? I could understand vassals, but there's nothing I can do about my own colony owning the regional centre, either way, love both this and your large cities mod, thanks
Snek 15 May, 2022 @ 6:13am
the Large City and Largest City one, also thank you for the mod
ItsBenter  [author] 15 May, 2022 @ 6:00am
I'm not sure which mod you're referring to, but I think it should be
Snek 15 May, 2022 @ 3:03am
compatible with your other mod?
