And I don't think, that PD is removing it but somehow "blocks" it? If you have PD on and still choose a vanilla 9 planet class for your homeplanet, the features do NOT get blocked/cancelded. But how this works? Changed the way planets are adressed? Flags? I fear, I have even less clues^^
How annoying that PD is deliberately removing content from other mods.
This isn't the right place because I have no clue how to help, sorry!
So some kind of patch could still be needed, i just don't know if it's the intention of this patch^^
Anyway, thanks for all your hard work!
Permafrost orign and drow underground origin each have a new habitability preference, and this adapts those preferences to account for new PD planet types.
You can use the portraits without this mod if you just ignore the origins -- and you don't use custom AIs with the new origins, and you don't install the Spawns Enabled mod for pre-scripted elf AIs.
It may be some time until I can update the file, please let me know if there are any issues.
Seemed like Cold / Dry / regular Gaia got special treatment and I'm not sure if they're handled correctly -- let me know if you find an issue, everyone!
But I think there are some new PD planet types which aren't included yet.
It's a vanilla bug but it's preventing me from doing much testing.
But yeah EoS is now updated too, so it can be done.
Probably it won't need an update, but I'm going to check when the underlying mods update.
If someone else wants to take it over, I'll help with the handoff :)
So I've removed the special decisions which would transform to PD Ecu types, and only allow the base Ecu for the Lunari capital.
I don't use PD anymore so this might not get support in a timely way, but I think 3.7 changes didn't touch habitability and this mod only impacts that area.
Yeah I don't know how to do localization, and apparently it changed recently. If you know how, please tell me.
- Did not fix Elf origins to handle Rare PD worlds right (but did pass on a fix to the EoS team, fingers crossed that it's acceptable)
- Did not fix Alvari ring on size 30+ planets. It's there -- you can see it if you do "planet_size 25" on your homeworld -- the fix would be a bigger model, which I don't know how to do (yet)
I guess the modifier issue won't be an issue, if the class of the guaranteed planets is chosen as intended by pd.
As for the Avari ring: (again amateur asking) can it's scale be depending on and therfore varying with planet size?
I'll see what I can do about the 1st issue (rare without modifiers).
Rare planet classes only get guaranteed planets from within their category, NOT the same class. It's not intended to have 3 rare planets at the start.
So the 2nd issue mentioned before is indeed "working as intended". My bad for bringing it up^^
Regarding the 1st issue, instead of the same rare planet class without the modifier, the "correct way" would be 2 (non-rare) planets within the same category
For Avari ring, it seems to be related to planet size -- Superhabs are bigger than legal for normal planets. Not sure what I can do about that.
For starting class / guaranteed habitables, what happens with ONLY the PD mods installed? What is the expected behavior?
(mods used: pd +submods, elves, this one)
1) empire set up: rare planet class as homeworld, elven origin
the guaranteed habitable planets have the same class as the homeworld BUT are missing the unique planet modifier of the rare planet class. They also cannot be ramdomized at the game start via the pop-up event choice provided by the pd-mod.
2) empire set up: rare planet class as homeworld, normal origin
the guaranteed habitable planets do NOT have the same planet class as the homeworld (they do if the homeworld is a non-rare class from the pd-mod)
Probably will update when PD's updates calm down a bit, unless there's something urgent.
Gimmie a bit and I'll test it out.
Sorry for the disfunction, haven't been using PD recently.
I was afraid of something like this, but it would be incredible, if you could make it happen.
There is an Elven Arcology texture displayed on the EoS mod page, but it's not used in the mod itself so I'm not sure if it's accessible for me to use. I'll ask the EoS authors about it, I know PD has code to use specific textures for Earth so there should be a way to use the Elfumenopolis image (if it's in the mod).
