Did you changed something?
Some screen shot would be good.
You could either link one of your steam screenshots or upload one at the forum page:
https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/start-with-base.69608/
The normal UI shows some house code at the bottom of the UI.
Something like: "ba5opyobetsbwwoddylstpbo"
For server with console access we can add this base config at the end of the world name upon world generation.
See "Config your base:" in above description: "Or for e.g. servers you can add ‘$’ .... "
You can also load configs by adding $Cx1 for config1 $Cx2 and so on.
If this config does not exist already it gets stored as this. It reads the config from left to write. If all settings should be stored the name of the not existing file need to be at the very end.
Check out the Spoiler 'more advanced options' in https://forums.terraria.org/index.php?threads/start-with-base.69608/ for more details about the parameters.

it was. sadly I then had to move back to the older version of tmodloader (for apachiis oldschool classes) and the version of this mod for that version of tmodloader doesn't have as many awesome features.

Does the client.log show some errors? File located in game folder inside folder tModLoader-Logs.
Or do you have some image scaling active (e.g. the graphic card computes a different resolution and scales it down/up to the screen resolution. e.g Nvidia DLSS)
The steam tModloader dictionary has a dictionary 'tModLoader-Logs' with a client.log inside.
It should contain some lines with 'error' inside.
Could you please share the error message?
Does it work if you change the screen resolution to 1920x1080?
If nothing works the world name can also be modified by adding e.g. '$Ba3' at the end of the world name to get base 3 (more details on forum page (spoilers tab) )
i have two monitors, tried running in fullscreen and in windowed neither resolved the issue
If you use some other mod which changes the UI during world gen it might not appear.
If that's the case you can also modify the world name:
“MyWorldName$Ba3FdyTssWdi” (without quotes) will select base 3 with dynasty wood furniture (Fdy), stone slab for houses (Tss) and dirt as wall behind (Wdi)
More details about this in linked forum post. -> spoiler at the bottom "More advanced options"
Make sure all mods you want to use (with NPC) are active during that.
During world gen this mod icon should show up at the top left, click on it to configure your base.
If it does not show up the mod itself might not be active or another mod is changing the world gen UI. If that's the case you can config the base with the world name. For details see the linked forum thread.
'compatible' means containing a big room for all those boxes? Not all but some base styles should work for that (with small modifications).
I don't about already placing them, Only works for some bases, some need modifications or won't work at all. Placing many of them would be too strong.
How about the mod 'Magic storage starter kit'? Looks like it adds the basic elements to the player starting equipment.
could you make this mod compatible with magic storage and stuff like that? itd be cool to get a small amount of storage early game since chests are annoying.
If it is still not working which other mod do you use?
i used to love using this mod but then completely forgot about it
so glad i found it again :D
