@Shiznick Not sure, that’s strange. Are you trying to play in single player. This mod is for multiplayer lobbies. You can still play solo but you have to launch it through multiplayer

Hey Ropkins,

Great work on designing a mission that kept us engaged! We had a blast tackling those factories and clearing out the airbase. However, we hit a snag with one factory missing, which prevented us from completing the mission. To amp up the action, how about adding a total of five factories for us to take down? They're a blast to engage with, but keeping the minimum requirement at three would still provide a challenge without breaking the mission. As for the long trek to the FOB, while the enemies along the way added some excitement, the distance felt a bit excessive for helicopter travel. Perhaps consider making that leg of the journey optional or integrating a secret FOB closer to the last city to maintain momentum. Keep up the great work, and we look forward to tackling more missions!

@Mantis made some small changes for Mission 1

1st set of random planes have a 5 percent chance of spawning (unchanged)

2nd set of planes that protect the airport when it’s attacked went from 25% to 10%

And Radar Guided has been changed to heat seeker on all but one of each wave. One plane on each wave will still have 2 Radar guided.

That should help with the balance a bit. But If it’s too easy now I can tweak some more parameters

@Mantis You're talking about mission 1? I can look at the spawn rate for jets again, i think its pretty low right now though, like 5%. taking off Radar-guided missiles is a good idea though, I can defiantly do that.

I think the jet spawn is still too much. If there were a ton of mountains to hide behind, it might be OK. Or if they didn't have radar-guided missiles. But fighting jets with radar-guided missiles in a mostly big open plain just isn't fun, and neither is sitting on your hands waiting for the AI to take care of things.

Mission 3 is unstable. This mission may become Mission Complete at the same time that OBJ1 Startup & Egress is cleared.

@WonderWaffle OK, I will significantly reduce the chance of random the jet spawn, and will change the jets that spawn once the airbase has been triggered to a chance, right now they are set to spawn 100% of the time.

I find the chance of jets is far too high for a heli mission. The reason I like this campaign is that it's designed well for helicopters, jets kind of ruin that.

Major update has been released.

Mission One -

• AI is no longer stationary.
[Manpads can walk!]

• First pass on more advanced AI actions ( ai battles, air strikes, etc.)

• Mission / Enemy spawn changes

• Chance of enemy fighter jets

• POI tweaks

• Balance changes

@Eric/Hayerino Thanks a lot for the positive feedback. I still haven’t found the time to start working on missions. But when I do I will add moving targets in mission one. I also have a few more side missions I’ve been prototyping. And plan on the 3rd mission having much more advanced and interesting AI, which is slowing progress.

I really appreciated this mission. It was one of the rare instances where the use of the helicopter made sense and the entire design worked in that favor. Id like to see more use of moving target ( e.g. manpads ) in the city to keep the difficulty up.

I highly anticipate your 3rd mission and hope you create some more missions in the future.

@Sinner6 Yes, I plan on making some more missions and finishing Mission 2 PT.2 I just need to spend some time learning and tinkering with the AI. I have some cool ideas.

We tried this tonight and it was a ton of fun. We really were challenged by a very cleverly placed Radar. Great job.
