Sensibilities aside, I wouldn't put this in the game as it is. The mask being white and the whole beret being paintable makes it stick like a sore thumb.

I fail to see how a paintable beret is gonna cause team confusion when the spy's entire suit is already team colored.
Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demo, Heavy, Sniper and Medic don't seem to have an issue with that despite the fact that they can have absolutely zero team colors on their head if they'd like.
