its needs to look less orange and more industrial
so instead of just being something that is trying to style itself with just the hard hat it can style with the character itself
Hotrod is just a cool looking styled tf2 welders mask its something you would see in tf2
this is not styled to look like it fits engie in that sane scene
all its really doing is just trying to style his hat not the character of engie Just his hard hat
the Hotrod fits more as something the 2fort Texan would have around as a styled welding mask this is just saying to me Oh engie has a big orange construction hat lets make it bigger and have stuff on it
The welding mask in Engineeer Update trailer is even bigger. Most masks are actually huge compared to a face, so I think it’s not too goofy
> the scrap shield with the hard hat looks massive a large orange dome covering engies head and...
It is massive, but that is how Welding Masks are. If you take a look at the Engineer Update trailer from a decade ago (recently posted again due to archive issues), the welding mask he uses there is even more massive, covering his whole head and helmet. And sure, I understand you may not like the colors, but I'd argue this fits Engineer more than the Hotrod.
> Hotrod fits more to the industrial style of Tf2 take a look at places like Upward, 2Fort, Powerhouse...
I like the flames on it but it is pretty bland from afar and isn't that visible unless you're holding a toolbox all the time. Also I feel like "hazard stripes" work better for the industry themeing.
sure this may have jigglebones
its may give you options to paint it
but those are just common features that so many other workshopers add on its not real things of interest
the scrap shield with the hard hat looks massive a large orange dome covering engies head and neck one of the main things wrong is that its just too big and orange
and just cus its paintable dose not mean it's fixed If I need to pay more money to fix something wrong with the item then there is a problem
Hotrod fits more to the industrial style of Tf2 take a look at places like Upward, 2Fort, Powerhouse these maps are full steal metal and smoke a metal welders mask with flames fits perfectly in the game more than one that is just orange
ill give you that yes the problem with the visor not going down is annoying and I do like that you have an option to bring it down that's a good feature
a) Hotrod doesn't feature a hardhat, which is kinda silly because you wouldn't just put a welding mask on your bald head
b) Hotrod is a dated cosmetic in terms of its looks. Sure you can use it but this one has more flare
c) I've seen many people asking valve to release a "visor down" style for it and so here we are
d) It does offer more. Not only does it feature a hardhat and slight jigglebones, it also is paintable and allows you to be masked up 100% of the time. Also, I don't really think you can call it a minor remodelling.
never understood these hats of already existing hats
there needs to be something more that they have to bring to the table to make it more interesting than the stuff that is in the game other than a minor remodeling and a color change
