@洛晨羽 - I don't mind if you want to upload your localization. That is really cool actually. As long as the localization links back to this page in some way, then I don't have a problem with it at all. :steamthumbsup:

@swordofblaze I have no idea. They're treated internally as broadswords, so assuming the scaling is based on their tag system, it will probably work.

For a point of reference, a T1 Doubleblade shouldn't shred an enemy 3 or more tiers above it, something along those lines.

For balancing, keep the rate of fire and multi-hit aspect, but lower the damage per hit by around half.

Loving these, only issue is that they seem to be doing too much damage compared to other weapons. Namely, the fact that it seems to hit multiple times per swing makes the dps a bit high. I can see this working out as a swift albeit weak weapon, essentially the machine pistol of melee weapons. Also yeah I do agree with Redwave that they generate a bit too often, maybe about 50-75% of the current spawn rate might be good.

@메망 I will eventually. Still trying to get a full list of twinblades for each tier of crafting. Elemental and otherwise. After those are all implemented, I'll start work on balancing everything one last time. Glad you're enjoying the mod.

Doesn't help that they have like a 3 day lifespan, so you can't effectively stockpile them. I definitely got what he meant.

@Redwave It all comes down to balancing, I gave them the same loot generation as vanilla Broadswords, so it may be your personal experience. But I may reduce their generation rate based on recent feedback, yeah. I feel that most players are going to be using the crafted versions if they are actively looking to use them, so a slight reduction to the randomly generated ones may be in order.

These are really cool but I'm noticing that they're found very frequently in loot, and they seem a bit overpowered compared to other weapons. Maybe a slower rate of fire would make them more balanced and lowering their frequency in the loot table would make them more special.

@Hyperdino I set Tenimusou as a rare pull in the basicTreasure pool. Congrats on your rare find.
It's more or less working as intended as I wanted it a bit rarer than a Flamethrower. As for your status effects question, it's very possible, but I'll have to get around to it when I have more time. I got this mod and my Spardan Items mod at good stopping points atm and am just hanging out waiting to see if major problems are reported before moving forward with any other updates. Will probably do a Twinblades update next though. Add a couple more craftables, a couple more findables, things like that.
If you're looking for Doom, Queen Slayer in the above-mentioned Spardan mod provides that effect on-hit. #ShamelessShilling

I found the Tenimusou in a chest on my starting planet. Due to the stats, I'm guessing it's supposed to show up as loot by radioactive tier at least?? Sorry if this sounds like a "Teacher! Change my grade from an A to a B+" kinda scenario. I just think it may have spawned in the wrong place

@SketchSuke Just updated to try and remove the possibility of that damage type showing up. Some mods allow for it, and it'd seem that my method of implementation of damage variables doesn't jive with vanilla. Let me know if there are still errors on your end. Same goes for anyone else experiencing issues like this, do bring it to my attention.

I'm getting an error every time I use this. I found the Knightly twinblade but everytime I hit something I get an error saying that it's an "unknown damage definition with kind 'physicalbroadsword'"

I see you like theorycrafting movesets as well. No promises. I do want unique abilities for each twinblade, which will replace vanilla abilities that they currently draw on over time, but I gotta code for them first along side other projects I'm currently working on. Got a completely separate mod that I'm presently trying debug for another update, this mod that requires more craftable tiers and abilities to go with them, and separate projects that other people have commissioned me for. So I'm weighing my options as to which one I need to work on any given day.

two other weapons:

ferozium twin/double blade having an alt which sends flying/homing ethereal swords that decrease gravity of targets hit to juggle so it kinda matches the ferozium staff's magic aethstetic

aegisalt focusing on mobility or flurries and such, like the flurry skill on spears, except it would repeatedly dash back and forth, or a repeated thrust attack which launches pulses of beams to match that ranged aethstetic of the dual pistols

again, dont feel forced to do these unless you happen to actually want to implement/attempt these

I've messed with this mod alot now, even though I subscribed for less then a day. I can conclude this is certified awesome
I use extended abilities so I can use up to three on one twin/double blade, the most pleasing results is when I use it on the titanium twin blade for maximum aerial combat.

Personally If you consider adding a violium twin/double blade I think it should be an aimable dash slash, which functions similarly to Sephiroth's octaslash (referencing the one from Smash Bros ultimate)
also, since violium broadsword has a funny spinny move it would make sense that a violium double variant would have something cool like that (definetly not suggesting this so I can yank the special ability off and add it to the titanium twinblade for even more aerial combat prowess)

btw dont feel forced to attempt this in any way however, just wanted to chat some ideas that popped in my and say again that this mod is simply amazing!

@Sandhaina The forward movement is intentional, making a couple of the unique weapons have forward mobility to make them feel unique. The invincibility issue is a problem though, I'll look into that right away. Probably some damage type that I messed up. Should be fixed in the next update.

Hey i notice that "Tenimusou" is buggy,
1st i dunno if this intended, the combo moves make the player forward a little bit and with a bit of practice you can technically use this as an infinite jump
2nd i am pretty sure this is bug, after using the special move "slide dash" it often make the whole enemy in the level cannot be killed (did not receive any damage from any weapon to be exact), and the only way to revert this is to beam up and re-enter the planet.

I like the weapon design tbh so its shame that i cannot use it as for now.

@jsotingco they should, as they're flagged as 'broadswords'. There may be 1 or 2 that are flagged as 'spear', but I'll be changing them back to 'broadsword' in the next update. Keeping everything neat.
