In a game where, canonically, Australia is meant to be thousands of years more technologically advanced than the rest of the world, maybe a pair of night-vision goggles that you say is too modern for TF2 is actually considered too archaic for the men & women of the land down under...

I ate all the cheese, well you have to consider this timeline has teleporters and dispenser and the blueprints of those where made in the Wild West Era so maybe the googles can come in a different form.

Here's an idea: Just have this hat, but remove the goggles. I'd like that a lot more, and I think it would fit the game and time period much better.
