it wouldn't work the way it's depicted in bocw, outside of it's intended environment it's extremely inaccurate and actively damages its own components. I'd hardly consider that functional.
Also, if you are going to fact check someone for no reason, spell the name of the weapon correctly next time you baboon

You do realize that the real life ASP can fire on land with the use of the gas switch on the firearm but it fires inaccurately on land

Ah sweet, the Fish AI gun. Just unlocked this myself. Would've been hell if not for Treyarch just giving us a Super EE out of nowhere that gives you purple tier weapon on spawn. Made the jumping through hoops they make you do to get it trivial.

The only Vanguard gun sounds that aren't 100% crap are the Ratt's and it's always Sledgehammer's games that are the bottom of the barrel for COD
