Hi @Red SuperNova, this is an aspect created in this mod! I believe most newly generated Drauven PCs should get this tag automatically upon their creation. The only exception to this are Drauven recruited through the initial 'The Abandoned' quest line or Drauven PCs who were created many versions of the mod ago before this tag was created by us. In which case, once per campaign, a comic before a battle should trigger where a Drauven PC without the tag talks about their past and experience learning Yandric, and the Drauv will be given this tag immediately after the comic (however this comic can only appear once per campaign). Humans cannot get this tag, as it is assumed that they're already fluent!

@MajorMILFSimp - Just pushed a fix that should resolve any instances of the Naming Bug that were outstanding. A recent update to the base game made it possible for us to finally fix them, and with our latest release I'm pretty sure we've solved it on our side as well!

Please let us know if you find any remaining places where Drauven are generating without proper Drauven names!

Hi @Inkaral, thank you for reporting this! I think this a bug that is affecting the villagers/classless Drauven that you can get from a Drauven start campaign which we'll need to put on our bug list. Once you get into the campaign and your Drauven have gotten their class, can you confirm if you can place helmets on them after this? Additionally, I think the Stormthroat head is the only head that doesn't have some kind of headgear right now.

Found another issue. I think. Can't put helmets on new drauven PCs, though I have older ones with helmets. Dunno what's changed, other than maybe an update at some point? In other news, I did not know about the personality thing, and I see why I've been having issues there now haha.

@Inkaral I was able to get them to form friendships (default), rivalries and romances as any character would. You might just be unlucky since according to the wiki these are affected by their personalities (bookish, snark etc).

@Inkaral: Relationships should be able to form as usual, and if a Drauven and Human are in a romantic relationship any children they have should be randomized between being human or Drauven. If your characters continue to not form other relationships, feel free to drop into our Discord server and we can help figure out what's going on.

Are relationships between Drauven PCs and Human PCs disabled or something similar? Haven't had any relationships occur between any of them other than the basic friendship. Not even rivalry.

Got my first two Drauven heroes and already loving this mod. They may not be as tanky upfront when compared to Human heroes due to lack of body armor, but make up for it with passive health regen and unique abilities that encourage more aggressive play.

@Vaporeon: "Love is in the Air" is known to prevent other wilderness scouting events, including "Abandoned" from occurring when enabled, but there may be others. Which other mods are you using?

@Vaporeon: The first event will typically happen in the first chapter because of the initially boosted weight, but it can happen in any of the first through fourth chapters.

@Bofrab: The main issue is that the first event in the quest line("Abandoned") is blocked from happening in All the Bones of Summer. Otherwise, we temporarily boost the event weighting and waive the personality requirements for the event to occur, so it should be very likely to happen in any other campaign where Drauven are present as an enemy. You pretty much just need any two (or more) heroes to scout a wilderness tile.

Since the second event in the quest line requires a hostile site occupied by Drauven, it's easier to get in a generic campaign where Drauven are the main enemy, and it should normally happen on the first hostile drauven site in the chapter after the one where you had "Abandoned" (I think 11 years need to have passed since that event).

@psionusoid What are the requirements for this questline to start? Like do I need a high amount of a certain personality or a certain class? (Like show Spell-Touched requires a Hotheaded Warrior and a Poet Mystic) Also I should probably mention I'm currently doing the campaign All the Bones of Summer (just started Chapter 4), and I don't use Love is in the Air, but I do have a couple mods that add more random events.

@Bofrab: Unless something is blocking it (e.g., "Love is in the Air" events), the first event will likely happen the first time it's possible, and the requirements are not strict. The second event is potentially a bit more rare, but the easiest way to make it extremely likely to happen is by doing a generic campaign with Drauven as the main enemy.

(Hopefully my rusty Grade 10 French was understandable!

But yes - I would love to have our mod available in more languages, but doing that will require somebody fluent enough in both to dive in to that. @jaguarrach Thank you for reporting this! Have you subscribed to the XXXIII abilities/skills mod or any other similar skill mods? I believe that mod at least adds Drauven Blood as a new level-up deck ability.

The new update wouldn't download, so I unsubbed and resubbed. That seemed to work, in that it downloaded something, but now I haven't got the option to add this mod in my game, even on a new profile.

3. If you're playing in a version other than English, any comics that we edited from the original game should still display in your language, so dialogue will not reflect the characters being Drauven and might be missing some text where we've added additional options into comics, but you should still experience these comics in your preferred language. New comics we have added will display in English. Drauven names have currently been set up to generate for English, German, Spanish, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese versions of the game (however Drauven names in Chinese will still display using the Latin alphabet rather than Chinese characters). We have yet to update the game to include names for Drauven for languages added to the game more recently, such as French and Russian, but we will plan to do this.

2. Disabling the mod will mean that Drauven heroes will not display properly and likely will not function in a campaign. They will appear in your legacy as floating gear, as the art from the mod won't be able to render them properly. It would be best to set them as unplayable before disabling the mod or deleting them from your legacy (backing them up on your computer if you think there is a chance you might want to re-enable the mod and play as them again in the future). Human legacy characters are mostly unaffected, you might get some blank history lines from some of the newer comics, but they will function as normal.

Hi Noobmasser! Here to answer your questions.

1. The mod is in beta as we still haven't got all the features that we would like for our full v1.0 release.The mod is still very much playable, but you might notice there are some things that appear weird (such as some Drauven heads not emoting and some text in comics from the vanilla game not making 100% sense with Drauven characters). There is also the balance side of things which is still being refined as more people play and give feedback on the mod. We don't have any dates on when v1.0 will be ready for, but you can always check our GitHub and Discord for features that are planned and progress updates!

1) If the mod is in beta, what does it mean? A full release planned sooner or later?
2) What will the issues be if I enable the mod, play around with Drauven, don't like it and then disable it - while having some legacy Drauven characters? Will my normal legacy be intact?
3) I'm playing a localized version. Will I run into trouble?

@Kapau - If you have the mod turned on, the first Wilderness scouting event (the event that happens on a tile where there's no fight) should be "Abandoned" (the event where you have the option to heal a wounded Drauven child). This will lead to you being able to recruit your first Drauven character in the next chapter (assuming a standard 10 years of peace)

If you have other event mods enabled at the same time, it's possible that you have something that is preventing events with normal encounter scores from triggering. "Love is in the Air" is a common one that makes it very hard for normal Wilderness events to trigger, so until you have your first Drauv on the team I would recommend turning that mod off temporarily.

so how do you even triger the event to get a drauven recruted,had this mod for a long whyle and havent been able to activate it

@Tom: Sorry you are running into that issue. Did you try the suggestion of turning on event picking? If so, what did it say? We are currently in the middle of updating that sequence to match with the new version of the initial event in the base game, so hopefully it will be resolved when that is done, but I don't know why it would not be mechanically working now. Having only three heroes shouldn't be causing a problem. We may be able to figure out what's going wrong more easily if you are able to share a save file and/or provide more information (joining our discord could make that easier if you are willing to).

If you just want to be able to recruit drauven heroes now, you could use the "cheat unlock legacy aspect" tool (under options -> my account) to unlock the aspect "DrauvenAllies_FirstStepsComplete"

Hmm... Maybe activate the Cheat to pick the events and then search why it didn't fire.

I specifically only kept 3 heroes in my party so I could have the best chance at getting stuff to activate. Also pretty sure it was the correct outcome since they helped the child and the drauven search party gifted us a cloak.

I repeatedly reloaded to just before chapter end to see if I could get it to work, so far hasn't worked... Will try again soon but I have tried so many times to get a Drauven PC. (mod is definitely enabled)

i had it often pop up in the last chapter when i did a 3 chapter adventure (and saved it in the first chapter), besides that maybe you have too many Heroes in your Party or perhaps got the wrong outcome with the Abandoned.

@BlackCaluldronMajorasMask - Apparently the most recent game update is somehow incompatible with the code that we have to make it easier to get your first Drauv and then drop the event weight back to normal after you've recruited your first one - we're looking at ways to fix that!

As for themes, your Drauven are compatible with everything in the base game except for Wolf (Lochias seems to have a special relationship with humans), Bear (too mammalian), Gem (issues with gem-eye alignment) and Skeleton (until we get 3 sets of Drauven skeletons drawn). In addition, Drauven have access to an exclusive "Snapping Turtle" theme through a revised version of the "Oh Snap!" comic.

Also, if I disable events so I can avoid the Abandoned event (Context: Doing the custom One Drauv campaign so I really don't need the event), can I still have the other comic events? The mod itself is enabled for the game as a whole, but for this campaign, turning them off.
