18.09.2022:
- added new tram tracks (part of the free patch),
- Corrected traffic light and stop signs positions on slopes,
- trams and pedestrians are shown in the tunnel.
@Wiwi Hi ... I just would like to add my 2 cents .. ;)
I arrived on this page due to your recent upload ... therefore I didn't follow the whole "issue situation".
To the matter ... with the update of any asset, regardless if it's a road or a prop or whatever, you always have to keep the exact same name of the original /first version of the asset ... otherwise the game can't find it in the savegame.
You might've figured that one out already ... ;)
For networks there is an additional "part to this rule" ... Idk how I could explain it technically correct, therefore I do it "simple". ;) There is an additional internal naming of the different elevations, which usually ends with a 0 or 1. Due to a bug in CS (which CO claimed to be fixed), the internal names sometimes change during the saving process of the network in the editor... which then will lead to the same error you've had with this one... even if the base asstes name stayed the same. (I didn't know that either, when I started with networks) It can be fixed manually with mod tools or you create your roads with the AN mod (by Kian Zarin) activated, because he implemented a fix to this issue within his mod. If you re interested in more details, feel free to send a pm or so.
Cheers Clus
A good friend had the same problem. However, he can use this version.
@Wiwi, great, I will wait for that one then, thanks!
I will upload an improved (alternative) version in the next few days. It is designed for the people who are still having problems with the popular network. It's the same network but with some small improvements (positions of traffic lights on the slope) as I won't update this article anymore here in the workshop.
BTW if I understand correctly you meant to upload an improved version but that broke savegames.. if you decide to upoload the new one as a seperate asset will you let us know? Thanks!
Thank you for the information! I restored the old version manually and hope the savegames will work again. I just started my old savegame with no problems.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
After many hours of work I was able to restore the old version. The network has been updated. Savegames should work again. :)
Yes, unfortunately that was my stupid mistake. But my savegames are not broken. They continue to work, but the network needs to be rebuilt.
From Loading Screen Mod Report:
"Tram Promenade You have Tram Promenade Grass with stops but it does not contain Tram Promenade. Name probably changed by the asset author."
New version online because I had a mishap while updating. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Check your tracks and rebuild them.
Corrected traffic light positions on slopes
Trams and pedestrians are shown in the tunnel.
The median of this network is slightly narrower than the median of vanilla tram avenue.
would be perfect if it was but this is a dream come true regardless
Even without tunnels, the streets of Delta are an enrichment to the game. :-)
For the future I plan several versions of this "Promenade", including a version for tram+bus traffic, a version for the bus and a version for bus+trolleybus. For the tram bus version, I'll try that with the middle tram platforms. There is already a tram car version in the workshop.
