Hello Dev, thank you for your work on this! I'm just wondering if locking the doors has any mechanical benefits such as increasing door integrity/health when locked? To give a lite simulation of locking points on external doors or internal frames. Thank you again mate!

@ᛗᚨᚾᛞᚨᛚᛟᚱᛖ il y a des options de bac à sable appropriées qui fait qu'on obtient la clé de notre room au spawn. (fresh spawn), if square:getBuilding() then you get key end.

par contre, ca donne une clé tout de suite à votre spawn, donc vous devez avoir cette clé tout de suite à votre apparition et pas quelque secondes plus tard.


@ExXanAbuser sorry but the vanilla code does not allow to do this, the doors have different opening directions, it is impossible to detect if the side of the door is inside a room, or a corridor or other...

D'accord, c'est sur cette carte au spawn on apparait a l'exterieur de la petite baraque blanche a droite de la map sur les images ( la petite avece les barrieres). Il n'y a pas de clé au spawn mais si vous essayez de rentrer dans le batiment par la fenetre, ça donne une clé pour une porte. Jene sais pas si c'est seulement sur cette carte ou parce que je spawn a l'exterieur d'un batiment

il n'y a aucun code ressemblant a ce que vous dite dans mon code, vous passez une fenêtre et vous obtenez la clé, cela me parait étrange, le seul moment ou le joueur est susceptible de recevoir une clé, c'est au fresh spawn

A new sandbox option is available, you can now enable or disable doors inside buildings being randomly locked.

IF YOU USE THIS MOD BEFORE UPDATE, IF YOU WANT THE DOORS TO BE LOCKED RANDOMLY AS USUAL, YOU MUST SET THE APPROPRIATE SANBOX OPTION TO TRUE

Can you make it so that there is a sandbox option to disable interior doors in existing buildings to not be locked? I love the idea that you can lock player-built doors (single and double) inside existing buildings, but it makes loot run hard since you must spend your time disassembling doors or fighting zombies inside so you get the key to unlock the door, which can get pretty dangerous if the room you are fighting them small. I tried to find the lock door parameter that you wrote in the description but I cannot find it. Anyways, thanks for the amazing mod. Not sure why the devs can't make it so you can lock player-built doors inside existing buildings.

Ok I see the problem

I entered a a building with closed doors by the window and it gave me a key of the building

Yes the mod is not obvious, but it remains logical I think, on the other hand, be carfull to the necessary skills (concerning the moreLock mod)!

It's a bit of a headache, but once you get the hang of it, you'll get there.

I'm taking your suggestion for the house key into consideration, just basically I thought vanilla game should automatically spawn the house key.... added to the road map

Otherwise, the rest of the mod is pretty great! I am having fun trying to figure out how to configure keys to cars that don't have any keys to begin with. But, I am not fairing too well on that end lol.
I have been trying to follow the videos you posted to see what I did wrong and so far I followed the same actions to a Tee and nothing seems to be working yet.

Still trying to figure out my problem.

@AuD Well if you would like my opinion, I think it would be thematic for a person that spawns in a house to think "Hey, this is the house I lived in before the apocalypse therefore, it would make sense for me to have a house key." So if you could make it so, I think it would give your mod some extra fluff.

sandbox definition : TRUE = When your character first appears in the world (new life), if you spawn in a house or any room with doors with locks, your character will have the keys in their inventory (only the doors in your room)

True, in vanilla the Keys don't spawn 100% of the time. I just assumed that the settings of the mod allowed for the keys to spawn 100% of the time and misunderstood the term "Room" thinking it would take the rest of the house into consideration.
