Trying to keep up with all the new forked versions and subsequently mirroring them would be a bit too much work for me, so I keep it as is.
and do you know if it would be possible to implement some of the map gfx used in bsr or Pulchritudinous States? might be too much for just a graphics mod but i think it looks good. only thing i don't like is how they have so much forest coverage.

Alpine is fine just not very creative and doesnt change country puppet names much based on who the overlord is.
Personally, I'd just compile all the flag mods into my own user-created mod and manually overwrite the flags.
You can use Irony Mod Manger [bcssov.github.io] to easily compile something like that. (You might be able to make a load order work using the same tool but I'm not sure as I've never used IMM to launch Hoi4 directly)
