Had a blast with this adventure...right up until the final (2) battles. At this point we were out of spells and abilities and no way to rest overnight. We get slammed every time we attempt it. Party is now dead-in-the-water.

Great adventure! One of the best I've played for a high level party. Kudos to @Acadiantri on a job well done, and many thanks for a good time :)

Hope to, but it takes time. For now, I have written a separate level 12-16 campaign, A Midsummer Nightmare, that uses the higher level enemies and magic items available from POI. I would also note that I've heard that some folks find this module challenging even if they level up. Really depends on how difficult you like combat. Even at level 16, doubt that you would be bored.

Hi, just curious if you have, or will, updated this to account for the fact that characters will now be blowing past Level 12? I'm just wrapping up a 1-12 adventure now and was thinking of taking them to this - but I don't want it to be fun for an hour and then trivialized. And no, I can't play the whole module looking at those arrows on my characters - I'm way too OCD not to go level up! ;)

UB generally? Yes. But the final level is set up with a series of 4-person teleports, so the 6-person party option may not.

Unable to replicate. Rest of the party waited in the Golem room. Sent a monk in (visible) to chat with Lazarus. Chat finished. Fight started. Monk went first in initiative order. Monk ran out of the Lich room into the Golem room (where party was waiting). All the enemies followed, including the Lich Lord. If you're on the Solasta discord, we can try it multi-player or you can send me a save. Otherwise, my only suggestion is that if the module breaks when you run out of the room, don't run out of the room. There are hard-coded AI limitations that I can't fix. You may have run into one of those.

I only send in the rogue with everyone else on the other side of the door with traps/spells set to hit all of the monsters as they approach. Then I have the rogue run from the altar where he must speak with Lazarus.

UB == Unfinished Business. It's a mod for the game. So vanilla. Let me see if I can replicate it. You start the fight, then everyone leaves the room, right?

This is the first fight with Lazarus. I do not know what UB means.

I got to Lazerus room and began the battle. When I try to lure the monsters out to fight in light, and none of the party stay in Lazerus' lair, the game locks up at the point it becomes the Lich Lord's turn.

So I deleted the source files from my PC (after unsubscribing), then resubscribed and seems fixed. Will monitor if it happens again.

Nice mod man, it's really challenging and the encounters are interesting.
Had a difficult time because I've set enemies health bars to 150% and I think your module really wasn't balanced around that lmao
I wish the game had more enemy variety so modders wouldn't have to reuse the same enemies tho, Fiona's fight got a bit repetitive

For some reason I can no longer save in this module. Not having this problem in any other player module. Tried all new party, redownload the mod, etc. Anyone else had this issue?

Probably not until later this summer after the last DLC drops. I'll have to update then to make it tougher for levels 13-16 anyhow!

after you defeat the D-lich form, there's a room off to the east that opens up. Teleports to private chambers. After you teleport to the private chambers, head west to the library. That is where the spinning wheel is (spinning wheel for thread, not off a bike).

Nope I have just .. Defeated his Dracolich form I think thetas when the phylactery is mentioned in the aftertext of that battle. Is it even possible to go back all the way to where I defeted his second form also I dont remeber where that was, was that not outside his tower?

Have you found your way to the Lich's private chambers after defeating his second form? If so, in the private library area, look for and interact with a spinning wheel. Should trigger a shadowy figure conversation.

Replaying it with the new classes, and without CE2, and finding it MUCH MUCH more difficult. Pally plus Monk/Warlock/Bard, mostly control focused and some battles just seem impossible. Every enemy has a 20+ AC, 12+ to hit, and +8 saves on everything. +8 INT/WIS/CHA save melee based enemies is very frustrating plus 1/2 the enemies seems to have ADV on spell saves and/or immune to a critical element (the hugs immune to force make my Warlock nearly useless). Think it does expose how some classes/builds are just flat better at higher levels. I'd be very curious if anyone has beat this on Cata diff. The attrition just seems waaaaay too hard to survive longer battles.

Yeah, sometimes the game does seem to lose an item here or there, especially in multiplayer.

Just finished the module. Very enjoyable, indeed. Enticing story, challenging encounters, themed custom items, all the goodies I like in RPGs. Definitely worth checking out. I will be replaying it for sure.

Glad you're enjoying it. I had included the tomes at one point, but decided to make them the reward for completing the module rather than starting it. (They are available in some of the gear up modules.) The slippers and the dwarven belt are good suggestions.

Haven't beat the campaign yet, however I find this incredibly helpful in being able to play test all the classes min/maxed at the highest levels. Has been incredibly fun, thanks. One issue I have though is the first room missing some special items i.e. the slippers of spider walking, belt of dwarven power or the stat increasing tomes. None of these are must haves, slippers for convenience (no atunement, use when boots of flight on cd), belt mostly to give my elves a more rugged look but stats are also good, and the tomes to push some hyper specialized characters past 20 stat. Is there a reason they are missing, like a technical or maybe even lore limitation? Otherwise, like I said, incredibly fun. Just what the game has been missing for me.

You were warned that the special bear was special. #13 is immune to everything but thunder, and it's vulnerable to that. Shatter or thunderwave will readily defeat it. If you don't have either spell or scrolls to cast those spells, or any other way of doing thunder damage, you're going to have to reload a save from before speaking with the NPC. You can decline the quest to avoid the issue. It's optional. Keep in mind if you reload, the type of damage the special bear is vulnerable to is randomly decided when you agree to take the quest in the conversation with the NPC. So next time, the special bear may be vulnerable to something else. The # of the bear actually refers to the damage type to which it's vulnerable. They're in alphabetical order, so #1 acid through #13 thunder.

Is it possible to find and destroy the Lichs phylactery?
If not, it hints on a second part, will you do one and when will it be finished?

There are 20+ battles facing the party, so 4-8 hours depending on how you play. Also, by 12th level, stats are not as critical as they are for a low level party. So whatever you prefer. If it's too easy or hard, just adjust the difficulty. I play-tested with a modified standard array, giving each PC an additional +2 in their key stat to reflect that they found a stat tome or manual in getting to level 10-12.

Challenging mod. I had to use consumables on the lich fight. The previous fights were also challenging. I'm not done yet and I did go in with a lvl 10 party using basically the best gear you provide in the gearing up room before the quest begins. The lich fight was proving overly difficult until I actually used the consumables you provide in the gearing up room. I'm just not used to using consumables so I didn't thing about using them at first and I was finding the lich fright frustrating.

I've been recruiting so many people to run this adventure with me. I love it. I haven't finished it yet, but I've played it about 5 different times, and it challenges me every time. I had to bring out the "big guns" because I couldn't get past one of the encounters, but it was great!!! Looking forward to more Acadiantri.... Great job!!!
