The thing is the method i use requires manually matching the length of the original voice lines which requires carefully choosing what to replace the clip with. I did this with each and every audio file one by one.
This method allows you to simply subscribing to the mod to play with it.
The other, more common method, doesn't require matching the original voice lines of the survivors so it makes it waaay easier to replace all the files. However this method requires a few extra steps for people to play with the mod by replacing and recompiling your own game's audio files in order for the mod to work at all.
Either way, I've already replaced 99.9% of all voice lines for these mods. IIRC I only missed the very few lines of dialogue when talking to Virgil at the plantation but Inever got around to replace them lol

You bring up that there are too many voice lines but ive seen people replace all 4 thousand voice lines for an anime girl mod

honestly the best workaround would probably be to mute the story-specific lines or to just replace them with any line, you can barely make out what the HLA combine units say in the first place because of how much filters the lines have gone through, compared to the HL2 combine unit voices which still have some intelligibility to them. or you could go the hard route and put every single story-specific line through the combine filter yourself.

@Major Tom i mentioned the issue with those voice lines in the description of my "Survivors Voice Pack" Workshop Collection
tl;dr way too many, way too scenario-specific, way too intertwined between the dialogue of other Survivors, and there's veeeeery few Combine voice lines for me to work with by comparison (hence why its much more reasonable replacing Survivor's voice lines during combat)

So seems to work great for combat lines, but anything story important they revert back to normal voices, like discussing gassing up Jimmy Gibbs car. It's a little jarring lmao

@Darkness im making 1 Combine Unit per Survivor based on the model pack in the description
you could try to looking for a mod that replaces Nick's voice for Rochelle's and combining it with the Grunt voicepack i made for Rochelle? idk if it would work tho
